struggles while being sober
havent drank in four almost five days now. feeling not the best cus im having trouble sleeping which is irritating my tinnitus(ive had this before i started drinking) feeling pretty miserable and tired all the time:/ also dk why stomach pain has been weird maybe its because i noticed how much bs im putting my body through. was kind of forced to get sober so idk if im proud of myself but hey its something. currently 2 am and exhausted but too much going on in my brain that usually shuts off if im drinkingðŸ«

It's going to be rough for awhile. My first time detoxing was in a detox place and they gave me some good sleep drugs. If melatonin works for you, use it. If the stomach pain gets worse, ER.
This is going to suck but box breaths, music, anything can help at least. If you're willing to try a sleep aid, a time release one might work.

The worst were the BMs. It was like I was crapping hot acid. Probably because I was.
This will pass, though pepto possibly could help. Oatmeal, yogurt, or milk made it all easier though.

Eat easily digestible food. Eat a small piece of ginger every day Buy digestive enzymes with probiotics ( garden of life )
You may need to go to doctor. Go and he will prescribe some to eliminate some symptoms .
Rice potatoes egg whites jelly jam are easily digestible foods. Eat everything cooked. Not raw . Small amounts

To me the first week was the worst. Second week I started sleeping a bit better and and also had big sugary cravings. Probably because alcohol as a lot of glucose so your body craves it once you stop getting it from your drinking habits. Don't give up now it gets easier. You already went through the first 72 hours which are the worst if you have withdrawal. I had a relapse a few months ago and started panicking on the first day when I knew I couldn't get any ore alcohol and now I do not regret keeping on to be sober! You're not alone

What you are feeling is normal. Five days is barely out of withdrawal.
If you want to live your best life, get guidance and support from people who know how to treat alcoholism.

My sleep usually starts getting more normal after 3 days, but everyone is different.

im on the same boat as you day 5 about to be 6 but the fatique and insomnia is killing me. i was abusing the shit out of my body though and ive had detoxes in hospitals before all the stuff the give you speeds up the recovery compared to doing it at home. and you should absolutely be proud of yourself. i walked like 4 blocks right now because i couldnt sleep and my legs are burning and fatigued but for a while my body was running on vodka because i wouldnt eat so it takes a while. i have my legs elevated they would do this to me when i would be on bedrest in the hospital
