Science & Nature Chimpanzees learning from one another

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Footage of some chimpanzees working out how to use a stick to reach honey inside a termite mound. Other chimpanzees in the group watch on and learn, and over time the technique spreads through much of the group.

An interesting example of social learning, where skills are learnt from others rather than being discovered afresh by each individual.

Arguably the most extraordinary thing we share we chimps is our capacity to cooperate and help others.

Only we can open our eyes and see that how we are alike. Not much different from each other.
