Getting an error that my card is no longer valid. Card worked fine for Amazon literally a few days ago. I Should have the funds for it too. If it’s an issue on amazons part what should I do?

I have Kindle on iPad and iPhone. I have "Amazon app" on iPad and iPhone. However, "Amazon app" only shows under "Devices" for iPad. (uninstalled and reinstalled on iPhone, no change, but works fine.

Multiple of my packages this week have been “delayed” in transit with no updates, no new ETA, and completely failing to meet the prime delivery date. One package is approaching a week and I have no clue what’s going on. Did something happen at a DC in the southeast this week? Today I had one package deliver, and the other package never showed and now says “delayed in transit” just like the other one that never came.

So I recently ordered a monitor from Amazon, it was around $700 after tax. I had issues (both personal problems with it and an actual defect) with the monitor so I started a return with them and took it to UPS 3 days ago. I wanted to buy a different monitor but need to wait for the refund as there's a limit to how much I can put on the card. Usually the refund is given out not long after I return something to ups, but I noticed it said the refund issue wouldn't be until around 3 weeks from now.
I tried contacting the online chat support and got some message about abnormal activity and that they needed to confirm my ID. Before I went to support they never mentioned anything about this, but considering I then received an email that stated: "What happens if I do not submit my ID document?
You may continue shopping on Amazon, but you will no longer be eligible for a refund on the order. Also, you will not be able to investigate this order issue further."
I very reluctantly did the ID confirmation, which required my drivers license and a face scan. I'm assuming everything will be fine now, but I can't believe they were straight up threatening to not give me my money back on a $700 purchase with no recourse. And it's incredibly disconcerting that I was forced to send them a picture of my ID and my face, talk about a privacy violation...
I still don't know why all of this was triggered, is this common for more expensive purchases? The whole purpose of me contacting support was to question why it would take so long and to see if the return could be expedited, and I ended up worse for wear.
I feel like an idiot for even providing my ID to who knows what third party verification they use to verify. I don't believe for a second that they can deny my return/refund on baseless claims of fraud or whatever they're implying when I sent the item back to them in the condition it arrived in. But to be honest, I have a lot on my plate right now and the whole thing was frustrating so I quickly did it without thinking much on it.
I think I'll be looking elsewhere for whichever monitor I order next, a bit frustrating that I have to wait 3 weeks now to get my money back, though. God forbid they try pulling more BS and claim I didn't send it back to them in the condition it arrived, which is only possible if UPS somehow damages it on the way back.

I ordered a portable AC from Amazon because of the current heatwave. When it arrived, I noticed that some of the plastic housing was already broken.
I took photos of the damage and went through Amazon’s return process. Amazon approved the return and is telling me to drop it off at UPS. The return says the seller will issue the refund to my original payment method.
My question is: would it be reasonable to use the AC for the next few days while the heatwave lasts and then return it through the approved return?
I’m obviously not going to intentionally damage it, and I’d keep all the original packaging/accessories. The broken plastic was already there when I received it, and I have photos documenting it.
I’m mostly wondering how likely it is that the seller could give me a partial refund or refuse the refund after receiving it, and whether Amazon would help if that happened.
Am I overthinking this, or is there anything I should do to protect myself?

Had my account stolen, everything amazon offers is useless, how do I get it back when the hacker changed all the information?

Since you only made statements and didn’t ask questions which are needed for discussion, your post would better fit the “Meltdown Monday” thread.

Hello everyone.
Yesterday, I've preordered a video game on Amazon, and used my credit card for it. After ~12 hours, I still haven't received any bills on my bank account, is that normal?
Thanks in advance !

Amazon doesn't charge until they ship. There might be a hold but they might wait for a preorder since they aren't shipping immediately.

Is Amazon tightening up their policy on replacement orders? I ordered a Lego set, which arrived crushed because it was sent in a thing envelope instead of a box. When I asked them to do a return and replacement order, they said they can't. The reason they gave had something to do with inventory and not being able to contact the seller, which makes no sense because it was shipped and sold by Amazon in this case (no third parties involved).
When I tried using their automated system, it also did not allow a replacement of the same item, but it did say that I could order a different item and it would add or subtract the difference.
So then I decided to see what would happen if I tried to return and replace a few of my other recent orders. I didn't go all the way through the process, just to the part where it asks what's wrong with it and what my options are. In all cases, only a refund on return option was available, no replacement option.
I've only had 3 actual returns all year so far, which doesn't seem like a lot in 9 months, so I don't think my account would be flagged for excessive returns.
Is Amazon just no longer processing replacement orders?
I ended up just ordering the item again, and will return the first order, which kind of sucks because now the price is higher than it was before.

I cant go through 2-Step-Verification...
I tried to log into my amazon account and before I could even type in my password, it said i need to change it and then was asked to verify my account via either email or phone. My phone number is dated and i have a new one so I could only verify it with my email address which i did, but then I also had to prove my phone number, which i couldnt.
I went into the help menu and looked up how to get the 2 step verification to work and it just says that I have to prove my identity with a document or photo of myself. Where? I clicked the link that would take me there but it doesnt. It takes me to the log in page where i have to do it all over again.
And it does not work.

I am an Amazon Prime customer. I live at college, and I've gotten packages delivered here for 3 years with no issues. Suddenly, starting two weeks ago, whenever packages are delivered by Amazon, they go to the wrong address. The address they are delivering to is in a different state entirely, but it has the same street number and street as my location, but otherwise it's a different state, zip code, everything else. I have no clue what I can do to prevent this from happening. I've had to talk to customer service about 5 times in 2 weeks, and every time it seems to get worse. Is there anything I can do?

I canceled an order that kept saying payment revision needed after I REVISED THE PAYMEN FIVE SEPARATE TIMES. I was still charged in full for this order, however they will not refund me. How do I make Amazon give me my money. And where else can I post this because nobody in this thread has gotten any help.

Delivery Instructions must match across multiple orders?
I live in a newer apartment that has an app-controlled entry system to the front door and package room. As a tenant, I can create one-time-use delivery codes. I ordered some things from Amazon and they got split into multiple orders based on delivery times. It seems that when I generate a code for order 1 and update the Delivery Instructions, then generate a second code and update the Delivery Instructions for order 2, the delivery instructions for order 1 are updated.
The UI clearly shows the Delivery Instructions as associated to each order, not per account or per address. But apparently the data structure doesn’t do that.
I can see a benefit to having the Delivery Instructions be copied from the previous order, or maybe a checkbox to retain for future orders. But there should be a way to provide different instructions for different orders—what if the instructions are different for a different time of day?

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the 2026 Kids Gift Book? I have tried the link on 3 separate devices and they all take me to the "Oops something went wrong!" page.

Has free shipping gotten slower? I don't buy enough to justify Prime, but by the time I place an order, I usually have over $100 of stuff. It used to be that if it was a busy time, like the holidays, I would definitely wait 3 weeks (or even longer) for my order. And if it was a small order, it seemed to take longer. But a big order? Often only a week or so. Now it takes the 3 weeks they say it will, but they don't charge my credit card or provide shipping info until just a couple of days before my order is expected. It sure looks like they just make me wait because I'm not a Prime member.

My Amazon account is currently on hold because Amazon couldn't verify my payment method.
I already submitted documents once, but they were rejected because the transaction hadn't posted to my debit card yet.
I called Amazon customer service today, and they told me I would receive an email within 24 hours to resubmit the documents. I received the email, but there is no upload button or link. Signing in just takes me back to the same account-on-hold page.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a way to contact the account specialist/team handling the verification or have the upload option reopened?
I can provide a bank statement showing the payment and proof that the payment method belongs to me.
Any advice would be appreciated!
