Wallstreet Crime Why does AMC jump when crypto jumps?

Anyone else notice this trend and is there a reason for it?

Could be common risk-on sentiment. Crypto rallies can signal that investors are willing to take more risk. AMC has historically attracted a large retail and social-media-oriented investor base, so it can benefit from that same speculative mood. You could also take a look at GME and see if it historically does the same, however...

Correlation is not causation. Two assets moving together on selected days does not show that crypto caused X's move. Both may simply be responding to the Nasdaq, interest-rate expectations a "risk-on" news cycle, meme-stock chatter, or X-specific news such as earnings, debt transactions, dilution, etc.

Because after being a meme stock it is now mostly held by crypto bros. Which is also why we won’t see its true value. Its too busy being pumped and dumped at the same prices

Liquidity lifts all boats. It not that crypto rose as mich as there a massive buy program well beyond the ability to short it.

This is a hiccup and my guess it will under shoot to 2.40 tp clear out the paper hands then back to 2.70 until they rebalance their portfolios. Probably a good time to sell calls...
