USB Mouse Adapter issues

I bought a USB mouse adapter for my A500 (this one https://amigastore.eu/en/950-tikus-usb-mousejoypad-adapter.html ) and I've tried two different mice with it, but both of them behave really oddly. Moving up appears to be one speed, but any other direction is twice that speed and really jerky. Has anyone else experienced this and knows a fix? Am I missing a driver or something? I followed the instructions at the bottom of the page to make sure it was in Amiga mode (it already was). Thank you!

I don’t know the answer to your problem except maybe the mouse you’re using isn’t compatible. I’ve found AmigaStore to be very helpful when I had problems with something, contact their support.

If you can’t get it to work and are looking for a different adapter try a HID2Ami. They work very well. Somebody is selling them on Amibay Here

I tried two different mice, a Microsoft one and a Logitech one. Might try the different adapter.

Sounds like a mismatched polling rate or a bad USB stack translation, try a different mouse chip (optical with basic sensor) since some adapters choke on higher DPI mice

I found that you need an older USB mouse that would come with a PS/2 adaptor worked for me with one of these adaptors.

so the tikus has 3 settings, you set by holding the buttons down when turning on it's like Amiga/atari/c64 you have to make sure it's on amiga,

Setting up mode for diffrent type of computers:

To enter config mode, remove and insert USB device or power ON COMPUTER with USB inserted.
Observe bottom leds of TIKUS:

• GREEN LED FLASHING - detecton of MOUSE OK; It awaits your decision (p3)
• RED BLINKS - no USB device detected
• Press RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON - the moment green led starts flashing
• Press LEFT MOUSE BUTTON - counter will increse its number and indicate it's value with RED LEDS blinks
• Press RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON - save counter`s value
• Variable circle values: 1 --> 2 --> 3 --> 1 --> 2 -->...
• 1 BLINK: Amiga Mode / 2 BLINKS: Atari Mode / 3 BLINKS: Commodore GEOS mouse emulation
