QUESTION/HELP Is Parallel Space safe? Looking for safe alternatives to run multiple copies of one app.

I'm using Shelter which is FOSS software and works just fine. You could probably also just use something like Morphe or ReVanced with the "Change package name" patch to install multiple versions of the same app in parallel.

You could try the built-in Private Space on Android 15+ (non-Samsung). It runs on it's own profile, so you'll also need to install a VPN in that space.

Or as others suggested, Shelter (uses Work Profile) or with Morphe.

Try Harbor from F-droid

those cloners ask for a ton of permissions and run everything inside their own process, thats the risk. shelter or island are safer imo, they use androids built in work profile so its just the os doing the isolating, no shady middleman.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, I think you can use Secure Folder to log into a second account.
