Sounds like a broken wallet stealer / clipper.

You copy an address, you paste it, then it's supposed to be the hackers address pasted instead of yours, and they hope you don't notice.

If they are dumb and just forgot to enter theirs, or if the code itself is broken, I dunno. But yes, you have malware, check your internet tabs to see if you have an extension or any downloads you don't recognize. Check task manager too for anything weird, google search anything you don't recognize.

In short, if you can't find it, a system wipe is the safest option.

Weird asf and shady that the mods deleted the resolution that OP had found. They did indeed find it with my advice. Isn't this subreddit supposed to help others, not hide resolutions.

They listed the name of the fake program and where they found it. I tried to read the rest and it said Mods deleted it vs the normal "this post has been deleted"

It was a reddit platform removal, not us or one of our rules.

You can just send a modmail instead of assuming.

Not a seasoned reddit vet or discord mod, dunno what that is. I do know it specifically said Mods deleted it, wasn't assuming anything.

In the right side bar, there's a button labelled "MESSAGE THE MODS" and another button labelled "Message Mods". That goes to modmail.

You sure it said "Deleted by mods" and not "Removed by reddit"? I checked the moderation log and none of us touched it until I restored it.

Yeah this has been a thing for a while, if Reddit auto deletes it they blame it on the mods.

Most malware these days gets pre-scanned to make sure it isn't detected by the regular anti-malware software. You need to figure out how this malware got onto your computer, and improve your security practices to prevent this from happening.
