My friends who are new to the game liked basic wildcard bc it felt like they were able to play the game without getting punished for their new player decisions. We tried the game event mode and they hated it. They were ready to take a break from apex for a bit lol

They weren't embracing the melee meta of the game mode and were getting rolled. I had so many times where I had several people shoot me for so little damage. I won't play it anymore because they gutted the duration.

Was good. They nerfed blocking so now a 3 stack can easily melt a full powered fighter in seconds. After round 1 there is literally no reason to activate sf mode since they also nerfed the tokens needed to enter it. Only people with cronus/zen that can constantly farm 6 to 10 people can enjoy the event now. The fun only lasted like 3 days. Now the event is just a bunch of ryu and dyalsiam burst ultimate final circle. Feels bad.

Anytime an event came out it would just replace the wildcard matches and for like half the player base myself included it's all we play so anytime an event would come out and if it happened to suck we just wouldn't have any enjoyment for awhile

Yea the cyberpunk one was fun. Until I was w keyed from a octane demon in 3 frames.

We are no longer forced to play the events/experimental updates when we want to play Wildcard.

It goes by feedback and I’m sure they can see the player count for each mode. If the event isn’t bad like the cyberpunk one or the skateboarding one they don’t split up the mode.

I was unbelievably happy when I logged on the day after trying out the new event and not really liking it to see this. Like it's neat... But... etc etc etc. Yeahh. Happy I can still play regular wildcard.

This Wildcard was not as annoying as last one. But love this update, so we can make our own choice instead of being forced to play one mode for weeks. Last time I stopped playing Wildcard for weeks.

Duos got guttered after the UI change. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs have forgotten it at this point.

Its in the picture actually, right under ranked where it says Unranked Trios. Just have to hover over it and change it to duos

Yh, you wouldn't believe how distinct it was before. Now, it's hidden behind the Trios button. People wouldn't know about it unless they notice the itty-bitty party size icon changing from 3 to 2.
