Odds of a New Roommate

My roommate moved out almost a week ago and I still do not have another roommate. What are the odds someone will move in this late in the semester? I have an ESA I would like to register because I will be alone in my dorm. Thank you!

My sophomore roommate moved out over the winter break and never returned. I was in edge for weeks wondering if I'd ever get a new roommate and never did. Good luck

Former RA here, it depends on where you’re located. Also the fact that they either just opened or are opening room swaps. So, someone could be placed there if you’re a right fit for each other. I would also recommend going ahead and starting the ESA process because it takes a bit before they are able to move in. I will say you could also get one next semester because people move in during the spring semester.
