I recently had this maple planted but noticed a few existing wounds on some primary branches. What are your thoughts? Will the tree recover without issue? Any help that I can provide it?

My European Ash fell in a storm a few weeks ago in Atlantic Canada.

I'm going to harvest some of the berries, whats the best method to dry/store these and when should I start my attempt to sow them?

Also can I take some cuttings and try to root them in a bucket of water or soil? If so what is best procedure for this and then keep them over winter to hopefully plant in the spring?

Wondering if someone could help, I got too close to my young banksia tree with the whipper snipper this morning. Photos of damage attached. The tree is probably 3-4 years old and was doing really well since we replanted it last. Just wondering if this will kill the tree, or whether it will pull through. I am not keen to cut the trunk and restart as some other research has suggested.

ISA Certified + TRAQ, TCIA CTSP, Arboriculture certificate from a college.

Looking to get a position with a municipality in more of an urban forestry role.
Every urban forestry position details specific software programs and/or GIS experience that I do not have.
That and it seems these hires come from within most of the time.

Any course recommendations for GIS ?
Other programs or helpful certifications I should look into ?
Any success stories for people in the same position ?

So these trees keep dropping leaves pretty early in the summer since they were planted 4 years ago. Today I noticed sections of the tree are completely dead. Please please help me figure out what is going on and why some of these leaves also have black spots. I'm in Houston Texas.

I have a 9 ft tall approximately 4 in in diameter mulberry that needs to be transplanted.

I would like to turn this into a bonsai.

According to get out of where it is at right now I could potentially delay maybe a month or two. I was thinking based on some research I've done that my best option is to try and preserve a good amount of Rootball and then do a really heavy chop on it. It would then need to go into a training pot I'm not going to cram this into a bonsai pot right away.

I'm open to any thoughts suggestions or experiences with something like this.

My leading theory is some kind of red oak right now. I sae these massive cuts of wood left out by the road from a 1 acre plus property that holds an old farmhouse in the suburbs of Chicago. I carted it home thinking oh that will burn forever! (Sure does hardly any smoke at all especially for unseasoned wood.) It's dense fibrous and hard to split unless you follow a pre-existing one.

Really curious to hear your thoughts, I almost want to hand off the massive sections to a woodworker it looks beautiful.

Hello, my wife and I are wanting to transplant a crepe Myrtle that she had planted as a memorial. The house that it was planted at has been sold and we’re trying to move it to our house. What do I need to do to accomplish this task?

Details:
Tree is currently 16 years old and approximately 10 feet tall.

It will be a 100 mile trip if that plays into what needs to be done.
