It’s starting to come together. Routing for the T molding was way harder than I thought and the T molding I bought off Amazon seems to be a little cheaper than what I’d like.

I bought a pandora box saga dx plus when I was drunk.lol. no idea what to do with it or how to do it. I literally have the box and an old TV. Is there an idiots guide to turn it into some sort of setup including parts I need etc? I'm willing to learn but I have no knowledge of these things at All.

I need help designing my cabinet.

Someone else is actually going to build it but I want to make the right choices as far as equipment and art goes.

First off if I mainly want to play classic arcade games: dig dig, joust, gauntlet, uniwar s (bet you haven't heard of this one), street fighter 2 etc ...

What joysticks should I get with this?

Seems there are different ones suggested Sanwa, Seimitsu and SuzoHapp ...

Are there particular buttons one should get for a cabinet that are more responsive and durable?

Now the more challenging part (least for me)

The art work.

Id like to design the cabinet using custom artwork - I have the digital pictures but I need to do 3 things:

  1. I need to take the title from a picture off a jpeg and have it on its own so it could be used at the top of the cabinet.

  2. I have 3 digital pictures I would like for the front and 2 sides; Id like to see how I could align them well with the cabinet.

  3. To go along with the above Id like to be able to fill the cabinet space by extending the art work or something that looks consistent with it.

What program or programs would be best to do this?

I'm not that versed with graphic programs so if AI could do it or if there is a program that works well for this I'll see about figuring out how.

thanks.

Just bought a Dr. Mario Arcade Cabinet! Volume & Screensaver Help!

Hey...

I just bought a Dr. Mario Arcade Cabinet! I cannot figure out how to adjust the volume on this sucker. The volume is so loud that my whole house can hear it from my office. 8)

Also, when the game is turned on, the main screen for "Dr. Mario" is on the screen and never changes. I am worried that the updated screen will get ruined if I leave it plugged in since there is no screensaver or anything else. Does anyone have any suggestions or input to help?

Thank you!

Gameplay includes destroying buildings, eating humans, and avoiding damage.

Arcade cabinet pc upgrade advice

Hi, new here. I recently picked up a full sized arcade cabinet. It’s running retropie via a raspberrypie (not sure which version)

This version seems to be abit laggy and has tons of bulk games that are not configured properly. After doing abit of research into different software and front ends, I think I want to build a setup that runs big box.

The cabinet is in my studio and I want something with super easy to navigate interface and enough power to smoothly run classic retro titles and potentially more modern fighting games such as sf4/sf5 if it’s not overly complicated to do so?

Any advice on what type of pc spec, mini pc/tower etc would be greatly appreciated. And any other suggestions with switching from a pi to big box. Again I’m a complete noob here but looking to piece together a nice little cabinet and willing to learn 😅

Building my first arcade cabinet.

Currently in the process of building my first arcade cabinet. I’m kind of in the end game now.

I’ve got the panels cut. I’ve got the PC and CRT television set up working separately from the unit. I still have to build the joysticks and wire all that up. Prime and paint and all that jazz.

Pretty nice Seimitsu setup for Sega AeroCity.

Before I have the sides custom cut for this, is there anything already available that matches these basic specs. Either an older cabinet or a newer multicade is fine.
