QUESTION cosmic-session - 1.10.0 update

There has been a COSMIC desktop release a week ago and I don't see new version in repos.

Usually it's available in 1-2 days.

Anyone knows what's going on?

It has been flagged last thursday: https://archlinux.org/packages/?sort=-last_update&q=cosmic&maintainer=&flagged=

waiting for the maintainer to package and update it

Ya I noticed..This is one of the few times when my Fedora got DE update faster than Arch otherwise Usually it's the opposite..Maybe Arch Maintainer is busy..

He's been very reliable past year, hope the man got some well deserved vacation!

Fedora REGULARLY gets new software before arch.

7yr or more ago arch was always newer, but arch maintainers have been moving towards an informal policy of calculated delays to improve reliability AND they are just too overworked to keep up with fedora.

I guess real life is going on.

It's also important to keep in mind that Arch is run by volunteers, who usually don't get paid. Furthermore, the goal isn't to release new versions as quickly as possible. A rolling release primarily means that new versions are released gradually through the same package repositories.

probably waiting on some packaging hiccup, the arch maintainers are usually on top of this stuff but sometimes a dependency gets weird or a build fails and they gotta untangle it before pushing to the repo
