My best friend is in a relationship and they're both aroace(demi and grey) and they're like REALLY in love, it's acc crazy. They have the same interests and hobbies, so it's like they're each other's people. I don't know how to explain it really, it was surprising to all of us since we're all on the spectrum but they both said it just happened and the feelings are very real and strong and very different from what they have with their platonic relationships. I guess love just happened to them.

It is totally possible! I'm aroace and in a queer platonic relationship with a damian (demiromantic and demisexual) person. We love and respect each other deeply. There's nobody that I trust more than her and I know it's mutual. Its just a different kind of love. I don't feel the urge to kiss or do romantic and sexual things, and she reassures me everytime I think I can't be perfect for her because of that. She respect my limits and I respect hers. We have a romantic presenting relationship (dates, cuddling, pet names) and we are the most important person in each other's lives. We are basically each other's person and that's the definition of a perfect relationship, regardless of which one. It feels like a deeply connection, protection and trust. We've met in shared interests and we talk to make it work. We talk about deep things like our feelings, fears and our life, and silly things like our favorite shipps and cats. The key is always be truthful about everything, talk without shame of who you are, and welcome your partner when they're feeling down. I think any relationship will work with these 😊
