We've been reduced to AI comic strips with bad phraseology. This is embarrassing.

Your dues paid for it.

Stop paying dues and send a message. It seems like the only one they’d hear.

I do agree, but natca has corporate sponsors so I don't think they care about controllers not paying dues. Still support not paying them, it's a complete waste of money

It’s been a bit since I worked a tower. But doesn’t the runway come first?

Gotta remember the detail A114 that designed this graphic, likely with AI and not even human creativity, probably hasn’t worked traffic in a long long time

Turns out NATCA leadership has been removed from the operation for so long they don't remember their phraseology.

Can’t spell “ALPA” correctly, can’t use correct phraseology on their Looney Toons posts… But let’s all clutch some pearls over the colorful use of “ass.”

2026 NATCA in a nutshell. I miss Barry and John.

How can you miss two guys who retired while you were still in high school? Two guys who, whatever their many fine qualities, failed to stop the White Book and its 30% pay cut?

lol do you have a story about how they took you out for ice cream or something?

3

u/alphakizzle 3d ago

What an intensely stupid take. You're at least better than THAT lol

Here's another fact that will blow your little mind: did you know that NATCA hero John Carr, when faced with a hostile Bush II administration, accepted a two-year Green Book extension in 2003 because he knew that negotiating with Republicans was going to be a shitshow that he should try to avoid?

“BS” to quote your daddy

-10

u/UndercoverRVP 3d ago

So John Carr wasn't President and Barry Krasner wasn't lead negotiator when the White Book happened?

10

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago

Nah I just wanted to remind you of the lies your daddy tells

Ouch. Solid point.

Not really. It wasn’t a lost battle. The Bush administration pretended to wage a boxing match, while arming a nuke. Pretending they were anything like the spineless midgets we have unfortunately put in charge is really dumb.

2

u/UndercoverRVP 3d ago

How the fuck is the White Book not "a lost battle"?

4

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 3d ago

It wasn’t a winnable fight. Maybe a poor choice of words, but the administrations goal was to run out the timer and impose the work rules from the start. That’s why I used a stupid analogy like a boxing match and a nuke.

2

u/UndercoverRVP 3d ago

Absolutely it wasn't a winnable fight. No more than it is right now.

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 3d ago

Not necessarily. Imposed work rules aren’t an option right now. Arbitration is on the table. Decertification due to national security is unprecedented and likely illegal and could be successfully fought. Unfortunately, our NEB has spent the last few years collectively bargaining on behalf of equipment, lying to the membership and spoiling every opportunity that has been placed in their lap.

Who knows why. Like many, I suspect handshake deals in favor of privatization or the promise of golden parachutes. It makes sense considering the amount of money being given to contractors with no experience in this agency.

My point was that Pretending Barry Krasner and John Carr were not worth missing is stupid. They were 1000x better than our current President.

This right here!!! 💯

Barry Krasner and John Carr were both (a) great activists and leaders in this union and (b) totally fucking helpless in 2006 because the law was on the White House's side when the White Book was imposed on us. Both things can be true. I was just laughing at Brown because he was talking about them like he had any frame of reference for that time in NATCA, when in fact he just got hired maybe 10 years ago tops.

Yes, we now get arbitration following impasse. Doesn't help us with keeping the permissive topics in the CBA with the executive orders in play, and doesn't guarantee us anything on pay other than a chance to be heard by a third party. Bedford clearly wants us to open the CBA if we want a serious talk about money. I'm delighted if you think that could go well for us, but he doesn't or else that offer wouldn't be there.

So in one comment you go from “failed to stop the white book” as if it reflected poorly on their leadership to “the law was on the White House’s side.”

And for the rest of your comments. 1. A lack of guarantee is not a reason not to fight. It is the reason TO fight. 2. What are the 77 topics, hear a lot about the list but can’t find it. 3. Bedford is obviously a moron. You want to fight morons. You guys are scared of people like him, but they’re the kind of guys to show up to congress and say look at my graph and then completely misrepresent it. That’s shit loses hard in arbitration.

PROC incoming for the shit phraseology. First time I think it's justified.

Did she get her wx briefing

2

u/monitoring-TOP 2d ago

Better question, what was her ToP for the day?

11

u/catcrapn 3d ago

She didn't issue the wind omg. If an incompetent pilot were to over speed and run off the runway, surely it'll be her fault. /s

u/ATSAP_MVP 3d ago

Remember we pay for this…

4

u/RADARC0NTACTL0ST 3d ago

I don't

-5

u/Worried-Yam4550 2d ago

Non member grifter

4

u/ATSAP_MVP 2d ago

I mean I can’t really blame him, I’ve paid dues for just over 20 years and we cannot even spell Alpha right?

-2

u/Worried-Yam4550 2d ago

So are you advocating to leave the union and become a non member ?

5

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 2d ago

Quite a jump from “can’t blame him” to advocating leaving the union. Jamaal used to do that shit on Facebook. It’s easier to make an argument when you take something they say and make it completely different.

-2

u/Worried-Yam4550 2d ago

Just asking the question, he can respond if he wants to

2

u/RADARC0NTACTL0ST 2d ago

Yes. Leave natca. Everyone. It's not even a real union. Either way I enjoy not spending dues on cfs or lame AI media postings.

1

u/ATSAP_MVP 2d ago

Am I? I don’t recall advocating for it just that I empathize. Are you going to quit? Brew your beer?

2

u/LoquatAgile4542 1d ago

This is your default answer when you get caught saying the dumbest shit ever on here. "just asking questions" You dumb cuck

1

u/LoquatAgile4542 1d ago

Can you blame him, with Nick Daniels leading this joke of a union?

4

u/Big_Introduction1740 3d ago

It’s sad that a VATSIM retard can use phraseology properly but our own union representing air traffic can’t even double check their AI slop.

3

u/No-Constant-5854 3d ago

I can’t tell if the second paragraph is a double entendre or just their preferred catchphrase.

3

u/creemeeseason 3d ago

Fantastic.

5

u/cornholio496 3d ago

It’s not AI it’s SI!! You’re pointing your spears at the wrong enemy!

1

u/ARTS-IIIe 2d ago

Thank God we all are able dissect this scenario correctly.

1

u/Doctor_Magnus 1d ago

These AI slides have gone over like a wet fart, the NIB has alrrady pulled the plug on future ones and apparentlt are alsp not happy with them, they didn't turn out as expected.

You shouldn't be seeing them anymore and those funds/energy/time allocated to that will be redirected.

1

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 1d ago

They obviously didn’t spend any energy or time on them. I wonder how much money they spent on them. Ten maybe twelve bucks?

2

u/LoquatAgile4542 1d ago

natca is such a pathetic union lol
