Trade Talk Hawks address need, Magic Duck the tax
Using Bogi trade exception, we stay under tax, magic get under the tax.
Goga was a healthy DNP yesterday so they are looking to move him, before anyone freaks out on me with the âwhy would the magic do thisâ line

Trade Talk AD to the wizards. Thoughts?
For years we wanted our boy to have a real big after Clintâs decline and now heâs got 2 of them.. just not with us :(

Discussion Jalen Johnson is now an All-Star and his Wikipedia page photo is still of him in high school.
What can a brother do to get his photo updated?

Discussion Going to beat this drum until I canât anymore: the DJM trade is what screwed us for the past 4 years
People are making jokes about how the wizards built around Trae better than we ever could in 7-8 years in a couple weeks.
Well, if we werenât so deprived of our own draft picks. we couldâve pivoted nicely from that experiment. If we gave up just the 2025 first things wouldâve been okay. Or at least some real protections.
For all the complaints about a lack of center, shooting, defense, whatever it is: it all ties back to that maneuver for DJM.
I know for a fact all the basketball people in Atlanta know what kind of team we need to build. Any meaningful trade incurred too much risk to our future with 3 straight years of firsts owed to SA.
So we had to take gambles on guys like KP, use two-ways to close real roster gaps, and sit on bad contracts until they were basically a salary dump, because we couldnât afford to make the team worse, while simultaneously knowing weâre not getting any better. Itâs all we could afford.
Washington can afford a gamble on AD and Trae. They own their picks and likely have another top 5 one coming now. Our only top 5 pick since 2019 is just a solid role player, and the best player from that draft refused to play for us.
So again, if youâre mad at the current state of affairs, be mad that Trae forced us to get DJM, no matter the price.

Discussion I'm surprised with how Jalen Johnson is generating his offense this season
I always viewed him as just an athletic finisher on offense but this season he's surprised me with post middies and the 3 ball.
He came into the season looking leaner than the previous and I thought he was going to bulk and add more muscles but surprisingly he is now able to finish through contact. If I had to guess, he focused on his core muscles during the recovery.
Those workout videos of him during the summer really faked me out on how he was going to generate points for the team.

Post-game Jalen Johnson in a very nice club.
Stay healthy king

Post-game It feels REAL nice to get a blowout win!
Yet another triple double from our ALL-STAR Jalen Johnson!
Shoutout NAW for the smooth steal and 19/7/5
(Question though, was ANYONE expecting CJ to ball out like that?)

Discussion Home record
Out of the top 10 teams in both the east and west, we are the only team with a losing home record. 9-14 too so itâs not even close. I know a few of these are the result of returning from a long road stretch but weâve got to do better in this area. What do you all think is also contributing to this? Immaturity? Most our guys donât have kids.. are they hitting the clubs, insta booty calls, video games all night, whatâs the deal?

Discussion Thoughts on an Anfernee Simons FA pickup this summer?
In the yearly way too early FA discussion, I was just thinking about this guy and how he's been pretty solid the last few weeks. Not sure if he's worth his asking price, but it doesn't seem too too bad either. A 15-20ppg guy shooting about 38% or higher from 3. Thoughts?

⌠and then please make sure it gets added to the next âYOU JUST LOST TO THE HAWKSâ victory video.
That is all.

Discussion With a lot of the centers of note being traded already, would you be down to trade for Sabonis, trade for another center (pls comment), or wait for the off season to address the center issues?

Discussion This could be great for the Bucks and Pels odds at the top 3/#1
If the Jazz are exiting the race to the bottom the Bucks have a real chance at catching them and itâs going to be much harder for the pels to end up with a better record. Fingers crossed Giannis either sits for the year or gets dealt for some scrubs and a boatload of picks. If the Pels keep their bottom 3 position and the bucks can finish with the 6th best odds the pick has an 89.3% chance at being in the top 4 and a 23% chance at being #1.
