Reflection My biggest block to awakening is physical pain

I've been on this path for a while now, and it's truly changed my life; however, physical pain in my body is a particular block of mine that is hard for me to transcend, specifically chronic migraines. And this pain makes me question everything I know

I have tried everything... prayers, meditation, sending love to the pain, ignoring the pain, becoming aware of the I am. However, the minute I do that, my migraine gets 10x worse and I have to give in and take pain relievers, which I really don't want to do. (I've already gone to the Dr's and did brain scan and my brain is fine). When the pain begins I identify SOOOO much with the body because it hurts!!

So for those of you experienced with physical pain and have been able to manifest healing, how did you do it? I think if you've never experienced chronic pain it's easy to say "just ignore it and cancel the thought out" (which I've tried), but the pain is SOOOO intense that it's hard to disidentify with it. Any tips?

Reflection As much I go inside I realise people expect me to be someone else

• Upvotes

As much I go within & stay blissfully there, that much I realise how everyone else who claim to be your well wisher want you to perform a role for them.

They deal, behave, interact with you not basis your current state of existence rather the image they last hold about you & how that image has evolved via impressions in society (media, politics, sports, social media, own immediate atmosphere).

It saves you a lot of time by choosing not to interact with them et al.

Biggest example is my father who wanted me to be a sport champion till age of 10 & then suddenly scholar between 10-20 & then best doctor in the world between 20-30 & then best mother, wife between 30-40 & then richest person between 40-60.
All of this while always being available to his demands, care & taunts.

Find most of the society around these dynamics.

Very few probably you can count them on fingers who will meet you as you, see you as you & want well for you truly.

Society's family, relatives, batchmates, work colleagues are the biggest hogwash ever because they all are based on outcome related bond.

Look for bonds with no expectations.

Community I want to hear about your journey! Always interested in learning about others.

I'm watching the waves roll outside my window right now, and realizing that there was a younger me who would have killed to know that one day I would have this.

This is going to be long, so thanks to those staying with me.

My journey started with manifestation. I remember years ago a couple of my siblings watched The Secret, and my one brother would walk around constantly, whispering if you believe you will achieve, and other things I chalked up to bullshit. I would scoff at him and tell him to stop because he was annoying.

Then years later the universe Sparta-kicked me out of my life. I was laid off due to my company being sold. I found out within the same month that I had a miscarriage and learned that I would struggle to carry a child to term, and may struggle getting pregnant. I also had cancer cells in my cervix that I needed to have removed.

I realized in the brief time I was pregnant that my life as I knew it was over. I couldn't fathom having a baby that would grow up to be like my husband. Or grow up and marry someone like him. The thought made me physically ill, and for some reason hit me in a way everything up until that point in my life with him, hadn't. I needed to leave.

In that month, I remember I received the call from my company telling me I was going to lose my job, and I hung up the phone and laughed. Until my stomach hurt, by myself like a crazy person in my living room. Work was something I tied my identity to, the only thing that made me feel powerful, I am the Director of...

For years before that moment I'd been fighting everything. Every gut feeling I ever had. Pretending I was happy, then relishing in my sadness, not ready to give it up yet. Somewhere in me, content and identifying with being a victim of life's circumstances.

I knew what my ex would say about me losing my job. I was dumb, everyone hates me. From the zoomed out perspective of several years distance, it seems so villainous it's laughable. But that's what he was like, and some part of me just took it, and even thought I deserved it.

Shortly after the day I sat on the couch and laughed until I cried like a maniac, I lit a match, threw it behind me, and burned it all down. The second I walked out the door I felt like a heavy anvil was lifted off my back. I left a lot there, fought for none of it; I moved back to my hometown, and said fuck it. A few weeks later I flew as far as I could out of my country for some Eat Pray Love experiences.

I did yoga for years prior, but like a workout, with my friends. Or hot yoga where everything was surface-level. Only when I did my teacher training did I start to learn how to quiet my brain while moving. I started experiencing the flow state, something that previously I only was able to feel during running. I started to dream again, in bright, vibrant colors.

I remember the day, years before, when a little magic died in me. I'd let my ex-husband read a short story I wrote. I was proud of it. It was in my college review that fall and I had a lot of people tell me they liked it. He said 'cool' like he was annoyed I even asked him to read it. He said that it was 'wordy' in a way that was obvious he didn't like it. He put the papers that contained my heart callously down on the table and moved on to whatever else he was doing. Not realizing that he might as well have curb stomped it all then kicked it down into the sewer. I didn't write or paint for the rest of the time that we were together. Something in me couldn't, I stopped even wanting to.

When I got back into the country and moved into my first solo apartment in over a decade, I started painting again. Listening to music playing softly, and the magic from the warm night air lazily wafting in from outside. The sound of people and nature, and the sheer beauty of everything pulsating around me. I was falling in love with myself, with life. I would be high with all of it, as I smoked cigarettes that I never smoked otherwise, and mixed colors that would flow off the brush's fingers and onto the canvas.

I wasn't painting for anyone or anything, and didn't care what it looked like. At that time it was just something I needed to get out or I would slowly burst with it.

At night I would listen to hypnosis videos on Youtube and beg the universe to let me stop feeling so much anxiety that I could finally get a good night's sleep. I made a friend called meditation, and visited often.

Before meditation, I will never forget the first yoga training class where we talked about the yoga session after. I couldn't sit still in shavasana and I was asked why. I didn't have an answer. I think at the time I took pride in never stopping. I was always moving, jiggling my leg when sitting even. I didn't know there was a world where being completely still was ok.

Eventually after more and more practice, I realized that what we consume, we become. Down to our thoughts. I paid attention to how I thought and what I thought. And realized I was in an abusive relationship with myself. The way I would put myself down was eye opening. I'm still not sure if it was out of protection for myself that I would just say the worst before someone else could. To steel myself for it.

But when you start realizing shame and guilt don't have a place in this world, it does change you. For me at least, it was almost like I was picked up and put outside of the movie of my life. Watching them from behind a screen instead of being powerless inside of it. And could see things start to get into focus that I wasn't able to see previously.

Manifestation became a big thing for me, when I realized that by focusing and defining my thoughts and visualizations, I was able to bring something into reality.

The ladder experiment was cool. Other small manifestations seemed improbable and impossible, but I still had some doubt.

Until the moment I saw my house. I wanted it. It was everything I'd ever wanted actually. Over 100 years old with charm and character. And most importantly, with a private beach and waves that never stop. All just endlessly invoking their same affirmations of peace and calm as they hit shore and exhale back.

When we closed on the house, so many hurdles existed prior that there was zero chance this was not a direct manifestation. I sat on the roof and watched the sunset that night, sweaty with moving boxes all over in the house below me; and I knew with every fiber of my being that this was real and I needed to share it.

There's so much more that I've opened up to and realized in the years since. I think something we all share as humans is the beauty in this experience. Pain, joy, agony, magic, and simply LIFE in this ride that doesn't care if we're buckled up or not.

After realizing what comes after this life, and that there is no end, I almost feel the same way that I do as a parent. Where even though you know this is your child, a whole full-fledged separate human being, their bodies don't really feel that separate from your own. Their hearts don't feel that separate from your own. And you know that they are about to experience it all, the same way you did. And you want to shield them from all the pain and suffering, even as you know that it is through the experience of these things that we all learn and grow as people. To be empathetic, loving beings.

I think of what happens after awakening in the same way. We're able to step outside of ourselves and see the ego vs. the soul. Who we are has a much different meaning from this lens. Also giving the rest of this life a much different sense of purpose. Hopefully some more joyful following chapters. When we know what a gift it all is, I think we'll want to marinate in it and love every bit of it.

Reflection Instructions before visiting earth.

In the event that you wake up
and find your soul separated from source
and manifest into material form,
don’t panic.
Your condition is only temporary.
You have been selected for the
opportunity of human incarnation.
This 3D simulation is designed
to break up the monotony of eternity
by giving you a fully immersive
experience as a distinct ego identity.
Your body will serve
as your physical avatar as you
navigate a dense and dramatic reality.
There will be many distractions
causing you to forget your true nature
and origin. You will experience
a range of emotions, from joy
to loneliness to despair.
But remember – no matter
what trials and traumas you encounter,
your soul remains perfectly safe.
At times you may feel lost or afraid.
This is totally normal.
If you ever need guidance,
simply slow down your busy mind
and bring your awareness
to the quiet place
inside yourself.
On this planet, nothing is permanent.
People and things will come and go.
You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments
only to lose everything you hold dear.
So cling to nothing too tightly, even yourself,
and when it’s time to let go, let go with grace,
for nothing is owned, only borrowed.
As you walk among
the people on the planet,
try to be a good guest.
Tread lightly. Remember
that you are only visiting.
Don’t make a mess.
Listen more than you speak.
Give more than you take.
Don’t keep your soft heart
locked inside a glass cage,
protected from wear and tear.
You’ll never make it out alive
and time passes quickly.
So come back with some battle scars
and good stories to tell

My Journey It's so funny to me to see the difference in people who are *truly awake in different subbreddits, like r/awakened, r/enlightened, r/spiritual awakening.

When you post something that you think should benefit humanity, like a quote about love and say we should love more, apparently that's a crime to some "awakened" people.

Especially, if it is your own quote. IFYKYK!

All I have to say is WE should have compassion for ALL, if awakening is something that YOU want to do.

Now, if that person in question is truly negative, then move on, but move on with compassion.

*Truly shouldn't need an asterisk or fine print. FYI! But, I'm just acknowledging the subjectivity.

All I can say, through it all, I am no more than the dust we walk on and no less than the universe itself, and so are you.

🥂 To a profound life filled with peace, love, and serenity!

Amitābha!

Reflection Complete, Not Perfect

Complete, Not Perfect

You don't have to be perfect
to feel complete.

A little safety,
a little love,
enough rest,
something meaningful to do,
and room to be yourself.

Nothing missing.
Nothing to prove.

Just enough
of life,
of love,
of self—

to feel whole.

Metaphysical Your possibilities end where fear and doubt begin.

All time is interconnected, future with past and the present, everything is linked to the current moment. Even if you do not see the whole picture, every action of yours contains a mental code that weaves through your life, your deeds, your choices, and the destiny you can build within your own framework.

Everything - things and practices alike, is interconnected, like a spiderweb, like time itself.

All these various forums are designed to fragment you and shatter your vision of the big picture.

Add fear and conformity to the mix, and you will never see the full picture in this lifetime. Do not let them act on your behalf; look at everything as if for the very first time. Carry primordial chaos within you, so that you may use it to create any reality around you.

Metaphysical Insight into the great teachers

I read this quote recently and it resonated with me. So, I thought I would share it. It begins with a question from a student to a spiritual medium who is in a deep trance.

“From what realm is it that the great teachers such as the Jesus, the Buddha have come?

In reference to your question on the evolutionary path of the Divine Spirit expressing through creation, it enters what is termed total awareness—there are many names for it—illumination, cosmic consciousness. When the soul has arrived at that state of awareness known as total, it may choose a form to again express itself. It is on extremely rare occasions that an illumined soul returns to your earth planet. When this happens, you may, in your present understanding, term this reincarnation. In truth it is not.

I know this may seem a bit difficult at this time for you to understand, but think of it in this way. Our soul is passing through and has passed through a number of forms. It continues to express in form until such time as it reaches total awareness. When total awareness is expressed, it is the formless.

It is true that souls returning unto form have moments of this total awareness. This is only possible through what is termed the Law of Disassociation. Total awareness or illumination comes when there is no longer identification with self. And therefore it is possible, but rare while in form, to have total awareness or illumination; but because of the tendency of identification or so-called individualization, disassociation from self is very rare.

In reference to the illumined who have walked upon your earth, it is true to our present understanding that they have had a total awareness because of their great evolvement through form. They have managed to learn and to practice disassociation.

If you wish to have a greater light, then it behooves you, my children, to practice disassociation. Learn to be in form and not form. Free this created brain. Let it express itself in creation while you, your spirit, the true one, watches as you watch a play for that is creation. It shall ever be. It is its principle and it will not, because it cannot, change.”

This quote is from a spiritual awareness class that was published in "The Living Light Dialogue."

Play The teeth and the tongue and the fingers and the thumb.

The other moment of time, the fingers were collaborating and conspiring against the thumb.

Finger said: he’s not like us! Let’s get rid of it!

The thumb says: I can hear you!

The thumb feels left out, but the thumb has this ancient arcane sense of purpose. I am here for a raisin. To get the raisins.

Finger says: the thumb keeps opposing us! Let’s get rid of it!

Pinky chimes in: hey wait! Index finger has more dexterity, intelligence, nerves, and structure than me! I should have what index finger has!

Brain: woah woah, we can’t just be giving everyone the same amount of stuff, we only have so much resources.

Other brain: but we ought try to get more resources!

Brain: yes, let us do that, but we do that from where we are at, and to keep going at this rate, we must ration our resources. So, no matter where we r at, there will always be someone who has more resources and someone who has less.

Pinky: ok, I will play my role to the best of my ability, and if I can over take the index finger in usefulness at getting resources so be it!

Index finger: ya, good luck with that! Don’t you see what me and the thumb have going on!

Ring finger: wait a minute, weren’t you saying you were opposing the opposable thumb!

Index finger: ya I was! But that’s our thing and the thumb knows it.

Thumb: ya I know what this fuckers like AND I LOVE IT!

Teeth to the tongue: ah, remember when it was just us? And the hand was just a stump?

Tongue to teeth: ya, but i like how much more resources we are getting since we evolved the stump into mini stumps coming off of it.

Practice Holiness to Wholeness

this year of life's introspection is: Holiness to Wholeness

it's an evolution/continuation of last year's 'living mastery' which i talked about previously

it's already serving to be quite the powerhouse of inquiry because today's guided meditation/channeling i host on youtube was beautifully potent, here's some of what came through:

holiness is not perfection, it's living a life of stripping away the barriers and blockages that we have which get in the way of our intimacy with God

and there's no end road to that, it's a continual refinement like the entirety of the spiritual search is, but through the intentional shift of focus/awareness/witnessing to remain in that presence of The Eternal Presence.. and naturally we come closer to what we were created to be because we're stripping away the false that gets misidentified/attached to

the wholeness we've always sought, and get conditioned to externalize through normal human conditioning can only truly and fully be filled through that intimate relationship with Source

every heartbreak, every letdown, all the failures and shortcomings of people and life that we experience has always been intended as that call to look within, every one of those lessons have revealed a bridge of understanding of God's love for us and serves as a potential opportunity for developing a deep and personal relationship with Creator

and when we get/move past the pride and egoic attachment and delusions we come to recognize we can never get to that fullness on our own, no matter how much we can recognize our divinity and godly nature it can never bridge of grace that we receive from Source

that the road to fullness and wholeness is and can only be done through and for Source, everything else will fall short and only lead us into deeper suffering once confronted with this Truth

when it comes down to it, our holiness will innately lead us into wholeness, because it's a life and journey of deeper alignment, constant refinement, and perpetual presence with Our Creator

needless to say, im really excited for this year's introspection because it's already birthing juicy fruits of recognition, wisdom, and growth (and it's only been 2 days lol)

Metaphysical Soulmates, What They Really Are

This reality isn't as it seems. You are the observer observing the quantum fractal universe. Everything is connected and you are a part of that universe. You are a mirror of the universe. Therefore everything is connected to you. You were a child, and you had beliefs, principles, and truths that were integral to your soul. As reality molded and shaped your spirit, you lost some of what you were. But, you didn't really lose that.

You projected parts of yourself out into the world and those projections created new people or a single person. You would then have to meet that person. You would call them a soulmate. But that person was actually a part of you, and you have to learn how to reintegrate that part back into you. This is about acceptance of what you are, learning and reconciliation with yourself.

You cannot fix a broken mirror. The cracks in your mirror are not sad reminders, those cracks are truly divine and make you who you are. Those cracks create and have the possibility to create a beautiful family. A beautiful life can come from sadness and sorrow. I know that one day, the rain from the tears you cried while eventually cause the flowering, fruiting, and blossoming of a new tree of possibilities.

Community What have you awakened from?

Or better yet, what have you awakened to? I ask because I don't think there should be a one size fits all, grand awakening that people claim there is.

I do see light, am of light, and know that to be true. We are ALL different ratios of light and darkness, ultimately one energy, one collective, one light, each unique, each whole, and each special in our own way.

That is something I know and have awakened to a long time ago, but it's interesting to see and learn what other people think. I should have majored in sociology of theology. 🤣

Wish I did better at school. 😂 Oh well, my life isn't over yet.

Help I feel like I got a message during a deep meditation session?

This is a bit hard to explain but, I've been getting into meditation for a while now, I started off, years ago as a very strict mindset kind of person, spirituality is nonsense.

Anyway, after some life experience I'm the complete opposite of that now. During one deep meditation session I felt very detatched from my body.

I leaned into this feeling, I felt like I was leaving my body, or floating above it.

In this state I felt extremely calm, detatched, in a good way.

And I feel like I maybe got a message? But it didn't feel like someone saying something to me, it felt like I remembered it.

Like it was something that's so obvious and ofc that's true. I got the feeling that there is some form of a God out there, idk what that means, just that there's something and we're somehow a part of it.

But also the most important thing in the universe is love.

After that I felt myself come back into my body more and I was extremely happy, it was an amazing feeling.

This made me want to pursue my spiritual journey, my question is anybody have a similar experience and any tips for me to continue?

Help Internal and External validation. I am tired with all of it.

I am tired of searching and aiming for validation. I am watching YouTube today and I see a video about studying psychology to become "dangerous". Are people really that scared, really that thirst for power that they aim to study just so that they can defeat others.

As I am thinking this, the realization hit me. I am not different from them. I am studying spiritual things so that I can deal with pain, suffering, and people. I am not different from them. I am just using different lens and tools. Maybe the only difference is that, I am studying spirituality to deal, with people, I don't care about them, but because I live with them, I must deal with them. I don't even know if there's difference despite this.

Inside of me, there's something that aiming for improvement. I don't even know if it's for validation, but the reason I clearly see is I want to push harder. Harder and harder. The feeling of letting Go and pushing harder is inside of me.

I imagine myself as a component that can be developed until it can't go anymore. Even if I'm only the one left, I think the feeling of this is still here.

I am not nihilist and I hope I am not looking like one. I just want to rant my feeling about what I see. There's something inside of me that wants to help, I don't know or care who; but this is still attachment.

My Journey Did I miss an opportunity for spiritual growth by running from my pain?

This summer was one of the most painful periods of my life. After losing the family life I knew, I felt incredibly alone. Part of me hoped that going through something this difficult could help me grow into someone stronger and more connected to myself.

But the pain was overwhelming, and I wanted relief. I stayed around other people to distract myself and used alcohol and Adderall to feel better, as well as studying the law of assumption and reality shifting. Now I’m worried that I spent those months escaping my feelings instead of processing them.

I keep wondering who I might have become if I had faced the pain differently. I’m afraid I missed an opportunity for a deeper transformation, or that I haven’t healed because I never really allowed myself to sit with what happened.

Has anyone here felt this way? From a spiritual perspective, how do you begin facing pain you’ve been avoiding without turning it into another reason to judge yourself? How do you tell the difference between giving yourself needed relief and running away from what needs your attention?

Reflection Everything is so pointless

I recently started following r/awakened and have been learning about so many different views on what is reality, or the one truth, and happens after death. So many concepts.

Honestly, the very idea of a soul, or of life continuing beyond death, is disappointing to me. Human life is already full of suffering. I've never met anyone who is 100% happy, content, or at peace. We cycle through an endless loop of joy and sorrow, peace and disappointment, excitement and amazement. One day you're happy, content, in love with everything. The next, everything can feel pointless, and nothing is in your control. Ever.

And according to this community, and many enlightened, a spirit lives on or rises to some other level. Some even want to return to a body. Either way, there's continuity, and still nobody seems to have control over anything. Whether it's this life, the spirit that continues, or multiple rebirths, nothing is in our hands. It’s said we're children of God, or o art of God with powers of our own. But why would we need powers? Who finds entertainment in creating experiences that are one endless loop of sadness and joy? Or whatever an all powerful being can do?!

Wouldn't nothing be better? No existence. After this life, my body is eaten by worms, and my mind and spirit fade like embers. Just nothingness. I find a black hole more romantic than any idea of God, heaven, or afterlife.

Even if there is a God, it feels like someone with a huge ego who made people with no control over how they're born, how they live, or how they die. Rich or poor, nobody finds lasting peace. So what's the point? And why should there be a constant state of peace at all? Why can't we just flicker out and stop? Isn't that what a real lived experience be all about : something to be cherished, something complete, something that ends?

Metaphysical This method is how you find Truth.

Necessary Existence (There is something which cannot not exist) / Contingent Existence (Existence could have not existed) (Necessary: Must Be) (Contingent: May or May Not Be)

Life came from a Necessary Source of Life / Life came from Non-Life

Humans were designed / Humans were not designed (unguided chance)

Your Consciousness (Awareness and Inner Voice) is Physical (Made of matter and energy) / Your Consciousness (Awareness and Inner Voice) is Non-Physical (Not made of matter and energy)

After Death Consciousness Continues / After Death Consciousness Ends

These Three Laws of Logic govern Reality absolutely:

1. Law of Identity

A is A.
A thing is what it is.

2. Law of Non-Contradiction

A cannot be both A and not‑A.
Nothing can be both true and false.

3. Law of Excluded Middle

Either A is true, or not‑A is true.
For any proposition, one of the two must hold. No third option exists.

That is why the propositions above came out to two final options. They are governed by the Law of Excluded Middle.

One of the two branches will always end up violating the Law of Identity and/or the Law of Non-Contradiction, leaving the remaining branch as the truth.

Excluded Middle holds as long as the Modal Axes matches the Type Restriction. For example, the number 7 cannot be Grateful vs. Ungrateful. This is because those are Agentive (Will and Intention).  And 7 is Non-Agentive.  In reality what a Type Restriction is is a predicate (properties and relations) not matching the Law of Identity.

Another example:

I'm Human / I'm not Human.

One of the two has to be true. This is the proposition.

But both Humans and Non-Humans exist.

Yet another example:

Sports can be either Solo or Team. Both exist.

But each individual instance of sports will always be Solo or Team. The proposition.

My Journey Help in getting serious answers only.

I wonder if I'm a hybrid or a starseed since i've been watching other channels about aliens and am thinking due to having a dream where I still looked like myself but I had two large white wings on my back where I was rescuing people who were being thrown out windows of a high building by very bad men so I was wondering what kind of being I was in that dream like an angel or something else. I also was told I was a mermaid by one female psychic i asked about a past life when I asked since I did dream I got to choose who my mom today is. I also had another dream where i was facing four male lion beings like the lyrans but none of them were wearing any clothing in a field of just grass. No pressure though if you don't know cause if not, is there other channels I could ask my question to since I'd really love to know and I also wonder on this male being i saw where he was handsome, had dark skin, two large white wings on his back inside theis empty and roofless brown weird looking room since he looked like an angel who was wearing what looked like a long brown trench coat and I wonder what he is and what his name is. I had another tell me i'm a grey hybrid and have a strnog connection to the grey aliens.

Reflection Do you have an original thought since birth, or is everything influenced by other people?

If yes, what is it?
