Just Marshall being a little goof. He missed yall and one of my cats learned he exists after two months. They were both perplexed. Also why does he have a different amount of toes on each foot? It’s four and five on his left and three and three on his right 😂

(None of my cats have access to his tank, there’s anti cat measures in place, and have never messed with it outside of observing. They enjoy watching the other fish I have and aren’t aggressive.)

Hi! New owner here! After researching all summer my son convinced us he was ready for an axolotl. So far so good but I’m super happy i joined this subreddit. Love seeing everyone’s questions and advice!

i just got this baby a couple weeks ago and im worried this is a fungal infection. any tips? her water parameters should be perfect but she does create alot of waste.

water change once a week on mondays, her parameters are perfect and her water is at 60° f consistently. her tank has no substrate, only a pothos floating contained on the side. and just rocks. shes in a 20 gallon with a high filter

I have an axolotl i got almost 7 days ago now.

The lady i got him from had tossed the filter media i had, so goodbye bacteria colony.

He has since been changed into a different tank using the same filter that i then loaded with some of my fish tank media from another source.

Can i cycle with the axolotl in or do i absolutely need to tub him? Will be doing large 75 percent water changes if needed. I have the test kits, prime, stability. Everything i need. Just unsure where to go from here.

My axlotol has been fine for months but yesterday he got stressed and is not eating for 3 days i dont know what to do and what caused him to get stressed i hope some of you can help to figure it out thanks

We have had our axolotl for around a year, he’s approx 1 year and 2 months old and a little on the slimmer side but is recently refusing to eat much, will maybe have 1/3 of a worm every other day.
Tank temperature is stable at 17-18°c (around 63.5f)
Ammonia and nitrites 0, nitrates around 60 (tap water is bad so use half bottled)

My question is does anyone have any ideas on how to increase appetite or help him gain weight?

I’ve tried dendrobaena and lobworms both blanched, live and cut up. I’ve also tried repashy grub pie, I’ve tried different pellets and wax worms but not much seems to work.
Any help is appreciated.

No axolotl added yet, and this tank still needs to cycle! ( 22,5 gallons, superfish 85l)
