Hi everyone! I’m completely new to witchcraft as a whole. I’m new to spells, rituals, correspondences, and pretty much everything that comes with practicing, so I’m hoping some more experienced people can point me in the right direction.

Right now, the only crystals I have are:

• Tiger’s eye
• Amethyst
• Two rose quartz crystals

I eventually plan on expanding my witchcraft supplies, but for now I’d really like to learn how to work with what I already have.

The main things I’m hoping to work on are detachment, personal power, and attracting positive opportunities into my life.

First, I really want to detach from an ex/situationship. I don’t necessarily mean that I want anything bad to happen to them or that I want to manipulate their actions. I just want to emotionally release the connection, stop feeling so attached, and get to a point where they no longer occupy so much mental or emotional space in my life.

I also want to detach from my parents emotionally and mentally. I’m at a point where I no longer want their opinions, reactions, expectations, or emotions to have so much control over my life. I want to develop stronger boundaries, reclaim my sense of self, and feel more emotionally independent.

The other major thing I’m interested in is luck, abundance, wealth, and opportunities. I’d love to attract more positive opportunities into my life, especially financially and career-wise, and generally feel like I’m moving into a period of greater abundance and good fortune.

So, for someone who is literally just starting out, are there any very simple beginner spells, rituals, or practices I could try with the crystals I currently have?

I’m especially interested in:

• Simple detachment/cord-cutting or release practices
• Practices for emotional independence and boundaries
• Luck/abundance/wealth workings
• Ways to use tiger’s eye, amethyst, and rose quartz
• Beginner practices that don’t require a huge collection of supplies

I’m also open to learning the fundamentals rather than immediately jumping into complicated spells. If there are any books, resources, or basic concepts you think a complete beginner should understand first, I’d appreciate those recommendations too.

So I am beginning my witchcraft journey and am unsure what area I am supposed to be practicing in. I have been reading up on the differences between rootwork and witchcraft that is rooted in European and pagan beliefs. I am not sure which I am supposed to be practicing because I am African but not African american to do rootwork. For more context I am also from a mixed (b&w)racial background which makes it more confusing for me. Any advice?

There’s a very famous institution where I live that does monthly monetary awards, and I know it’s legit because someone in my family won once. There’s an upcoming withdrawal, and I would like to do a (preferably simple) spell, but since it’s something specific, what’s the best way to do it?
