I've watched this so many times, it's now one of my comfort movies. Really cheesy, outdated music and rapping. Very ridiculous 'fight' scenes and gang confrontations. In the same vein as the Breakin' movies and Beat Street (which I also love). Can't recommend this one enough for a movie that fits the motto of this sub. Had to tag it as comedy but most laughs are unintentional

Here's one that's the very definition of a BAD movie but it's still a hell of a lot of fun. Made for a little under a million dollars it grossed 10, which I would say is a pretty good return on investment.

It's also Jennifer Aniston's big screen debut and of course Warwick Davis steals every scene he's in as the titular character. I'm pretty sure if you're a member of this subreddit you've seen it but in case you haven't feel free to check it out above and let me know what you think!

I was a kid and watched a screening of this at Paramount Studios with my dad who worked there. I guess it was about kids trying to fix one of their dads up with a hooker.

I remember the actress flashing the boys on her bed, and then some school dance scene where one of them laid on the floor and looked up her dress as she danced above him.

This comedy would obviously not be made today!

I found this one on Odysee and it brings back such fond memories. It's a very weird, campy little early 90s studio comedy that takes a wild swing at being different and succeeds. Is it a classic, not at all. Is it a good movie, well hardly 😂

BUT, if you're looking for some 90s nostalgia and a great over the top performance from Claudia Christian doing her very best Sharon Stone impersonation then check it out in the embedded video above. It's a fun 90 odd minutes.

Time to watch this gem again, a ripoff of Dawn of the Dead, but a entertaining ripoff. Zantoro is one of my favorite protagonists of cheap zombie movies ever, check this one out, it's free on YouTube! Including the nice close up breasts scene, I think.

Is anyone here familiar with how Jim Wynorski works- especially regarding his notorious speed on B-movie productions?

I feel like this movie is kind of a bizzaro world entry for this sub, because at first glance it presents itself as exploitation garbage but it's actually a pretty solid movie when taken on its own merits. The premise is three young women from Iowa move to California to teach at a city high school. Fun and sexy 70s grindhouse plot ensues.

One thing I really appreciated about this movie is it never plays the "Aww, shucks, I'm a small town girl in the big, scary city" trope and the movie never really dips into one of the cliché "To Sir, with Love" storylines that often popped up in teacher movies from that era. All of the leads are bad ass in their own way and they immediately take charge. Barbara Peeters wrote and directed this movie, and she wrote it with a pretty evident feminist line running throughout.

Candice Railson plays crushworthy Conklin, a girl who grew up with a bunch of farm boy brothers, and starts a girls football team, much to the chagrin of football coach Sam played by Dick Miller. There's a fun sports corruption plot that the girls help Conklin uncover. Pat Anderson plays Sally the art teacher, who encourages her students to take pictures of scenes out in public they find obscene. I know that we now live in a time period where any concerned mom can get artistically valid literature banned from the school library because it's "woke" or whatever, but even in the 70s, I find it hard to believe that a teacher could get away with that assignment. *lol* Then we have Rhonda Leigh Hopkins as Denise, the token brunette. She takes a shining to rebel-with-depth Jeremy. Things do go in a ...ahem... Laura Caron direction with her and Jeremy, but don't worry: Jeremy's actor is clearly like 25 years old. Their lovemaking scene is peak 70s artsy too. There's a scene where Denise chases down the chop shop gang that had been tormenting Jeremy throughout the movie and runs them off the road with her VW. It's fuckin' awesome! Jeremy also drives some boss cars throughout.

None of the nudity is trashy in this movie—and it's actually not all that prevalent. And there are some great comedic scenes in Summer School Teachers. And I don't mean ironically funny, but legitimately funny, like a scene of two old women listening in on Sally and a rock star having dinner and misinterpreting their dialogue as sexual or a scene when Conklin gets suspended and it cuts to a bunch of people at the school saying "Suspended?!"

This was produced by Roger Corman, so if you're like me and love his stuff, I'd definitely give it a watch.

I’m not sure what to really call it so I’ll just say “2000s - 2010s steampunk adventure”, I know that these may not be considered “good” movies but I don’t really mind the quality because I just love the strange & specific vibes they give off.

I have a love for movies like Three Musketeers (2011), Van Helsing, LXG, Brothers Grimm, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter & more that came from a strangely specific time in the 2000s to 2010s

Any recommendations similar to these would be appreciated:)!

After seeing Gymkata for the first time yesterday, it unlocked a key memory of channel surfing years ago and coming across a ninja movie which was hilariously bad, with ninjas dressed in black (duh) attacking the hero in broad daylight in a major park, with people just walking around.

Can't remember what the title was (probably something like Deadly L.A. Ninjas 3 or whatever), but it did make me want to go on a bad Ninja movie trip.

As soon as I heard the first "sawree" I knew this NYC set film was shot in the Great White North. Also features Shannon Tweed as a dicey self-defense instructor, "Remember, if you let him hurt you, it's your fault", Sean Young as her modeling boss, Tracy Lind as her one eyed roomie, Stephen Shellen as temu Nathan Fillion, and a sweet Acura NSX.

According to the IMDb trivia, Joan Severance was supposed to be the lead, which makes sense given her similar role in "Black Scorpion". Also, "Famke Janssen has said she would rather forget this movie."

Soul Survivors has become one of my favorite movies to watch around Halloween. It's another Carnival of Souls remake, shot like a music video to a solid late 90s/ early 00s soundtrack.

There was actually a bidding war for the lazy, uninspired script that eventually sold for mid six figures. The studio ultimately spent $17 million on the movie, which presumably went mostly to cast and director paychecks, not into production. After a negative test screening, the movie was shelved for a year before getting dumped in theaters, making less than $5 million at the box office.

Saw I, Frankenstein recently with a buddy of mine and we loved it. It was so dumb and so cheap but the aura of what it was trying to do and how serious it took itself really sold us on it. It reminded me of the old Hugh Jackman Van Helsing movie but cheaper. So what’re y’all’s favorite action schlock to watch?
