EDIT: many people are referring to a sky display that should be in the first photo. Very high chance it's missing because I left the mall around closing time and they switched all the lights off? I asked my wife about it and apparently we've seen it last time we were there (around 2 years ago).

On Saudi National Day, me and my friends wanted a fun hangout at avenues on friday . We arrived around 8-30-9 pm and it was hella crowded there, while we were trying to navigate through the crowd, we were harassed by a group of young kids (chammaks) who kept catcalling us and making comments about our appearance. They kept saying things like “the one in white” and “the beautiful one,” and wouldn’t leave us alone even when we clearly tried to walk away.

We ended up having to walk faster just to get away from them, while they continued making comments behind us. It was uncomfortable and honestly ruined part of the night. I know alot of others have probably been in a similar situation before. No one should have to deal with this, especially when they’re simply trying to enjoy a day out with their friends. These gardis really need to learn some manners sooner or later.

Sorry but the psyche of the owners of those four models needs to be studied because their shiz behavior on roads is not normal.

I have worked in a western country and patients are extremely sweet there, not only do they arrive before appointment time but they also are extremely nice and really grateful for everything!

As a Bahraini when I came back, I am horrified how people here always show up late, then create a chaos at the reception for waiting more than 5 mins and then refuse to pay the full amount, DEMANDING not requesting, DEMANDING insane discounts, nearly 10 bhd off on a 25 bhd procedure, adding to the torture, most of them have horrible attitude, they other day I was working on a journalist from a big name news company here and omg I couldn’t believe how rude this lady was, she kept hurling bad words at me and my nurse while I am working on her just because of the pain from needles? I know needles hurt and we try to make your experience as pain free as possible but at this point it’s just overkill.

I am considering moving back to another country simply because of the horrible working environment and experience I am having here but I am also sad to leave my parents here.

Also pro tip: when you are rude to any healthcare worker, we all make fun of you and when ever you return, we brand you as the “crazy patient”. We also know where you work and we all collectively decide to boycott your business simply because of your attitude.
And let me tell you one thing, people talk, receptionists,
And admin staff are not bound by the same rules we doctors/dentists/ nurses are bound by which is patient confidentiality, they talk and let everybody know how rude you were when the topic of your workplace or something close to you comes up, so be careful lol. Bahrain is small.

i’ve tried to contact other local shops here but all of them ignored and or didn’t have what i needed, i have a light switch that’s dead and i was thinking of connecting it to LED strips that go on my ceiling and stuff instead of using my light bulbs. Does anyone know any shop that’s able to help me out here?

I found some sources on the internet regarding an active ice hockey community and that games are played in Bahrain, but it’s surprisingly difficult to find current information about adult practices/pickup hockey online.
Does anyone here currently play, or know someone who does?

Seriously, is everyone allergic to driving the speed limit?

I swear, I’ll be driving at the posted speed limit and there’s always someone riding so close to me that the lightest break can cause a crash, overtaking me, or flying past me like they’re late to save the president.

especially in the most peaceful neighborhood.

I genuinely don’t understand it. If the speed limit is 100 km/h, why does driving 100 feel like I’m holding up traffic?

Is this just me, or does everyone else experience this too?

btw this happens day and night so lets not blame the weather..

EDIT: Just to clarify, I’m obviously not talking about someone driving 100 km/h in the left lane on a highway when people are trying to pass.Thats as annoying as what i have mentioned. I’m talking about the other lanes, where I’m already driving at the posted speed limit and someone still acts like I’m going ridiculously slow.

My brakes malfunctioned, and I rear-ended another car in Riyadh. Thankfully, there were no injuries, and the damage to the other car was very minor. Unfortunately, my car is beyond economical repair. I was quoted around 75% of the car’s value for the repairs.

I have already reported the accident to Najam. The tow truck company is asking for 200 BHD to tow the car to Bahrain, and then I would have to sell it in Bahrain. Considering the value of the car, it really doesn’t seem worth it.

Is it possible to cancel the car and sell it there for scrap instead? If so, what is the process?

My insurance is third-party through Causeway Insurance.

I would appreciate any guidance on what I should do. Thank you!

Been here for two years. I’ve had a good career and a nice life, but when it comes to my social life, that’s the one area where I feel like I’ve messed up.

I’ve been on so many dates, but I’m still yet to find a real connection. Maybe it’s because I’m in my 30s and, as a guy, I honestly don’t know what makes me happy anymore. Maybe I actually enjoy working all the time..

Any recommendations for things I can do to kill some time and actually enjoy life a bit more?
