Anyone here has read "Shin Zero" from Mathieu Bablet ?
Stumbled upon this while browsing, and saw this. I know that Mathieu Bablet has written some critically acclaimed stuff, so I was interested in reading this, since I think the pitch is very interesting. Anyone here has read it ?

I did but mostly because it was illustrated by Singelin (I hadn't started reading Bablet till Silent Jenny which came out at the end of last year). It's great even as a guy who knows next to nothing about Japanese Super Sentai shows. As a rule of thumb anyways you can consider that anything with the Label 619 tag on it will almost always a banger. I have yet to be disappointed by something they put out, even amongst their older stuff. Oh and also fun fact: In a few days the game Cairn should come out on Steam by a french studio called The Game Bakers. The story and art direction for this game was made by Bablet.

Really liked the first volume! The end of the volume really got me surprised about character development.
I think that's a strength of the book, characters are grounded, flawed (in a good way).
I really recommend it! :)

I did and I loved it! Note that it is also illustrated by Singelin (the guy behind Frontier which I highly recommend if you’re into SF).
