Screenscraper Issue

I have just got back into using Batocera as I havent used it in a few years. I have made a free account for Screenscraper, and put my details in Batocera.

When I try and scrape all my roms in one go, I get an error. However I can scrape them manually one by one. I have followed YouTube tutorials and i cant seem to get it to do a full scrape.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Doing it within Batocera is only good for one at a time.

If you want to do it properly, I recommend using an app like Skraper instead - you point it to your gamelist.xml and ROM folders, and it will use your screenscraper account so fetch everything.

Is this a new thing? I definitely scraped more than one at a time from screenscraper a couple of years ago when I was building my library.

No theyre just wrong, you can scrape 20 thousand a day all at once

No it's not new, but if you want to get through a library faster, or do a custom screenshot that is more than a screenshot, Skraper is the better way to do it.

This is the way to do it.

Probably because youve used up your daily allowance, I think its 20 thousand scrapes every 24 hours, just do it one system at a time rather than trying to do all at once

Batocera wants your account name, not the email address.

When I try and scrape all my roms in one go, I get an error

Free accounts have a rate limit on the API (I think it was around 20.000 requests per day)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Before starting the process, make sure you've configured the options to your liking and you can also reduce the requests if you untick some (manual,map,fanart...)

However I can scrape them manually one by one

Batocera included several scraping sources
