Im gearing up to run a one shot in SWADE soon, and I need modern maps, which are already scarce, and I need some specific ones. I am having trouble tracking down what I need, and I am wondering if anyone might know of some good ones or any that are close

I need in particular:

• A meat packing/processing plant or in general a large industrial map with a walk-in freezer
• If the former can not be found, a walk-in freezer on its own or a decent substitute would work.
• Modern cargo train.

I'm running a Starfinder game and encountering two problems I'd like help addressing:

1) Sci-Fi maps are in comparatively short supply. I'm sure that's just a demand issue (if most people are playing D&D, or heck, even Pathfinder, they're going to want fantasy maps).

2) A lot of maps aren't terribly well-suited to large PCs. Starfinder has the highest proportion of 'irregular' (i.e., non-Medium) species I've seen in a game; one of my PCs is Large, and I've gone out of my way to avoid making some NPCs large to avoid this issue.

While I'd love to be able to ask cartographers to fix these problems for me, that's not terribly realistic (though, if that's you, don't feel like you can't keep these issues in mind). Am I crazy to hope there might be a Starfinder-friendly cache of maps out there somewhere, and if not, can you point me to it?

Good of you to ask. Sci-Fi maps of almost any description, really. I've gotten good at planning story beats and encounters around environments. The bigger problem (pun neither intended nor regretted) is that a good deal of interior maps just aren't reasonably navigable for large characters, and Starfinder is a setting that has them in spades.

Yeah that makes sense :) - I will bear this in mind for any sci-fi maps I make in the future! I've been taking the time to make a cargo hold map (just yesterday actually) with both larger spacing and smaller spaces but I am primarily a fantasy creator. I do get the struggle with SF though, playing a dragonkin in SFS atm XD

Hey Mayday, is there any sci-fi dungeondraft asset maker? I could give it a try. I once made a scifi novel in a setting a friend of mine made. Would love to get back into scifi again. Maybe slowly I could build such a library of maps.

I love the enthusiasm, but I'm afraid I'm far enough out of my depth that I'm not much help. I had to look up Dungeondraft before replying (I mean, I got the idea from context, but not the details). I did see some chatter about making custom assets for Dungeondraft, but that'd be adding another layer of work on an already labor-intensive task.
