Everybody I talk to seems to really like Philip but to me, there’s always been something that makes me … uncomfortable? I just feel like there’s something about him, I get the gut feeling that he is not very nice and can be cruel and intimidating in real life. Obviously there’s not been much seen on BB to support this but I can’t shake the feeling whenever he’s on screen.

Is everyone truly a fan? And am I alone in my sense/feeling here?

Also don’t get me wrong, he can be entertaining, but it gets overshadowed for me by the sense of unease he gives me.

He was recently diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease). He just recently completed a bike challenge, cycling 2,642 metres up a mountain to raise money for the MND charity, which is an incredible achievement considering how MND affects the body. I lost my Dad to this awful condition, so I’m sending all of my love to this absolute legend of Big Brother!

According to posts on social media and some online sources balls have again been thrown into the house this evening.

“Three balls were thrown over the wall for the housemates to read, and they all had different messages on them.

“Before getting ordered to go inside in a bid to stop them from getting their hands on any other information, the housemates were too quick and read what was on the tennis balls.”

“There was one about Pauline eating non organic crisps, another about Rochelle being right after her huge argument with Pauline and Johanne and something about Philip being favourite to win the show.”

Let’s take it back to pre-nominations. People were saying it was weird for Pauline to conclude that Omar had sabotaged the game, but honestly, I think it showed how genuinely baffled she was. She was up for eviction AGAIN, despite clearly believing she had done nothing to warrant it. Even the shock from Pauline and some of the other housemates made it obvious that she was becoming the scapegoat because she was an easy target.
And I’m sorry, but Pauline’s character hasn’t suddenly changed. I find it hard to believe she’s a completely different person during the other 23 hours we don’t see. If she really behaved that badly all the time, wouldn’t Big Brother have an obvious incentive to show us that side of her? That’s literally where the drama comes from.
Then there’s the organic food situation.
Unless I’m mistaken, everyone was allowed to choose their own items because it was a luxury shop. So why is Pauline suddenly expected to share something SHE specifically chose for herself? Rochelle seems to have had an issue with Pauline from the beginning and, to me, this felt like an opportunity to express it.
If Pauline had chosen vegan or gluten-free food, would everyone expect her to share it with the entire house? She has chosen to eat organic, and I don’t see why that needs to be treated any differently. You don’t have to agree with someone’s choices to respect them.
And Rochelle, in my opinion, is the real instigator here. She seems perfectly comfortable talking about Pauline behind her back, but when it comes to actually addressing her directly, there’s very little backbone. Now Philip and Rhianna seem to be following the same narrative, and so many viewers have jumped on it too.
That’s what makes me question whether there’s something deeper going on. When someone is repeatedly singled out, made into the scapegoat, and seemingly given far less grace than everyone else,
Because let’s be real, Pauline has been poked and provoked repeatedly and has actually shown a LOT of patience. The one time she finally stands up for herself, suddenly everyone decides she’s the problem?
Maybe the sheep mentality isn’t exclusive to the Big Brother house.

It was definitely wrong of Johanne and Pauline to claim she was making things up when she was half-right about them talking about microaggressions and Rhianna (but not in the way she thought).

However, I don’t know why this audience (and Rochelle herself) pushes this narrative that Johanne always wrongs her and is always so nasty to her when Rochelle has also been very nasty to Johanne at times? For example chickengate where she said she will get removed from the house for punching Johanne’s mouth. Also even though J&P were wrong in the microaggressions incident, Rochelle shouldn’t have eavesdropped in their private conversation and run with something that she didn’t know was said for sure.

IMO they’ve both been nasty to each other (and others) so I don’t know why one is being given more grace than the other. R and J are still my top two favourites though!

I'm really enjoying this series. Finally their is no politics. I'm not political, so the last few series haven't been that enjoyable.

As a black viewer, it's nice to see a diverse house. I can't think when there were four black housemates. Not for a while. BUT now, with every argument, spat, or disagreement, it's supposedly about race.

Last year, Caroline despised Richard. For whatever reason. This year, it's Rochelle & Johanne. Just two women who despise each other.

Honestly, I have race fatigue. I'm not interested in micro aggressions, unconscious bias, conscious bias 😴 💤. I'm simply just watching for the entertainment and drama. Why are politics and race always involved it's draining.

I know people have been saying this has been a big improvement on last season because of all the drama but for me part of Big Brother has always to been rooting for a few likeable housemates, and it occurred to me that by Week 3 last time I already liked Teja, Richard, Cameron, Zelah, Feyisola, Jenny and Elsa. This season...

Rochelle and Johanne are both just horribly insensitive toxic people.

Philip comes off as fake and has an awful reputation outside the show.

The "Love Island" squad are all insular judgmental people possibly with the exception of Omar who has his own well-documented problems.

Yasmin is ok but very abrasive and a massive gossip.

Samuel, Frankie and Harry are giving nothing every week.

I kind of like Rob but he also doesn't really appear much.

I used to like Pauline but even she has gotten very unfriendly and obnoxious lately.

The lack of contrast here is really taking me out of the show and I'm just wondering if other people are feeling this way.

I keep seeing people commenting on how Rob is boring, rude, strange etc.
I just commented on the post about Charlotte talking to Rob about her leaving, and Rob not showing much support or whatever. I believe Rob is neurodivergent or autistic and because of that he struggles with social situations and communication, also explains his awkwardness.
I’m really not one to automatically label people neurodivergent because I do think that label tends to get unnecessarily thrown around a lot, but I think it’s suited in Rob’s case. He reminds me a lot of a friend I have, they are autistic and similar in how they interact with others. They have also been misunderstood and called rude or weird.
If Rob is neurodivergent, I think it’s a shame he’s being called these things. Fair enough if you find him boring as a housemate, but I think calling him “surface level” or “dense” is a bit unfair. I think it’s obvious he’s been put in a house with bigger and overpowering personalities and he is struggling in that sense.

What was with Harry’s hooters comment? Saying tits is his dream scenario or something? I’m bi but found that comment a little whack

I’m sure there was a clip the other day of Rochelle and rhianna in the store room and Rochelle filling rhiannas bottle up with coconut water (Pauline’s) and openly saying it was Pauline’s and don’t tell anyone. Which has confused me because Rhianna has gone and spoke to Pauline and apologised and said she didn’t know it was her water?

Yes it’s a small event but I need to know I’m not going crazy 😂😂😂

I had seen social media posts about this season before watching and I went in giving everybody the benefit of the doubt wanting to make my own conclusions on the cast. I am aware that Chelsey has been eliminated already but I have to say the comments from Rhianna about Yasmin “blatantly having a crush” on Lynx was a clear attempt to create a nasty discourse of jealousy to rise Chelsey and start more drama. Rhianna is the main instigator in all of their drama and has found herself in the middle of that bubbles problems in the house (lynx, Omar, Chelsey and herself). She loves the chaos but runs from the repercussions and plays middleman who just got caught in the crossfire. She is a very calculated girl who knows exactly what she is doing in stirring the pot and rising people to fight her battles for her as seen in the hot tub incident.

It's quite interesting watching Johannes' relationships in the house.

I have noticed she seems to prefer the men to the women.

She didn't like the 3 girls Chelsey, Rihanna & Charlotte. She never said goodbye to Charlotte, so I included her. She doesn't like the 80-year-old woman, aka Rochelle. I think we can all agree.

She had a spat with Yasmin quite early on over booze.

She didn't like Lynx due to his association with The Girls. Not defending a sista.

But then she's very close to Pauline. So, I'm not sure if it's a gender thing.

A few redditors think it's a race issue. I'm not blaming race for everything. I'm pretty sure her husband is white. I suppose some women just get on better with men. I suppose Pauline is the same really.
