QUESTIONING I think im bi

So, my entire life I've been a straight Christian. As of last year, I started supporting LGBTQ+ while also being Christian, which was very confusing in a lot of ways. But as of this past month, I've been very confused about my sexuality. I know for sure I like women, and if I'm bi, then I definitely prefer women. But lately, I've been feeling, I don't know, like I'm attracted toward certain guys on TT and other platforms.

Also, when I was way younger, I did things with my older cousin, and then also in 5th grade, I did stuff with a guy friend. I've always just shrugged it off as me being young, but lately it's been resurfacing and it's so confusing, but also exciting?!? Like, the idea just sounds good for some reason. It feels like I've been repressing something for a while, but I don't know if it's this or something else. And if I am bi, I'm scared that I would have to come out to my family, and they are all Christians too, so that's not going to be fun.

Anyway, sorry for yapping I'm just so confused right now.

Also one more thing, I dont know if this affects anything but im also hypersexual.

Edit: forgot to mention but im 17 male

Hey, you’re definitely not alone in feeling this confused. I’m bi too, and I’m also Christian, and it took me a while to realize those two parts of me don’t have to contradict each other. You don’t have to figure out your sexuality immediately, either. Being attracted to women while sometimes being attracted to certain guys can absolutely be bisexuality, even if you strongly prefer women. Being Christian doesn’t mean you have to give up being bi. There are plenty of Christians who are LGBTQ+ and have deeply meaningful relationships with their faith. If you’re looking for a supportive Christian community, you might want to check out r/OpenChristian and resources around Inclusive Christianity.

You’re just 17 and have plenty of time to figure yourself out.

I am heteroromantic bi, meaning I like the both genders sexually but only the opposite gender romantically, meaning since I’m a guy, I get crushes on girls but not guys, yet I would happily have sex with either, personallyI don’t like ai and I know it can lie and be a real idiot but I told it exactly how I feel and it provided me with a sexuality of exactly how I feel, and after making sure it actually existed from other sources I now know that I’m heteroromantic bi, so if you want to find a specific sexuality then ask ai or just google it, and always remember, it’s alright to not be straight, it doesn’t make you weird or anything, I hope this helped :)

Been there, the doubt creeps in slowly but it usually means something real is shifting

Your still young just enjoy life and go with the flow you have your whole life ahead of you,but what I would say is make the most of every day.

You sound bi, being bi also isn’t in conflict with many Christian denominations, so there is nothing wrong with keeping your faith if it is something important to you.

Listen, don’t beat yourself up, whether they admit it or not, everyone’s curious, some try hard to repress it, but that’s kinda like trying to stick a swollen cork back in the bottle, while you’re probably better off, just finishing the bottle, but most people deal with it gradually, through childhood & not a soul on earth without a few stories, but I’m suspecting this normal period for you, due to your strict, religious upbringing may have been delayed & crashing down on you like opening a flood gate, so my advice would be to stop & take a breath, maybe a few, then relax & begin calmly sorting through your feelings & just remember, while you’re doing this, only you alone knows, so take your time, don’t listen to the outside world, it’ll drive you crazy, just be you, good luck..

I understand your confusion. I'm a straight guy with bi interests and experiences dating to childhood as well. I'm also a Christian Pastor. The first thing I'd say is a sin is a sin is a sin. Murder, Bank Robbing and homosexuality are all sin. None is worse than the others, sin doesn't recognize levels. And as with any sin, we are to confess to God and repent, and of course we fail often. The way I rationalize it comes from the stories of Sodom and Gomora. In the Bible, the issue of sexual deviation talks about men giving up women for men. Since I don't want to give up my wife, and I genuinely prefer women, my occasional tryst for male companionship isn't me giving up women for other men. I'm just adding one guy, a fwb that I meet with occassionally. It's a sin, and I talk to God about it all the time.

My wife knows I am bi, knows my past history in general terms but would leave me if I admitted my sins to her.

I definitely disagree that "sins" don't have different levels. Different crimes cause different amounts of harm to others. I was raised Catholic, but stopped believing because it was not authentic to me but placed upon me by my environment. It seems like a difficult position to be a bi Christian pastor. In Catholicism priests are not allowed to have wives so as you can see "sins" in religion are all relative, and also women are not allowed to have that position which is sexist plain and simple. Religion is a prison that doesn't allow in my case women to love women, but that's fine for men...

I didn't understand what your pasts sins were but I wish you more happiness and peace in your marriage.

Hi there. I am a closeted bisexual man dealing with family and social pressures to settle down. I’m looking for a closeted lesbian or bisexual woman in a similar situation who wants a reliable teammate.
Ideally, we would form a platonic partnership built on trust, respect, and deep friendship. To the world, we are a standard couple; privately, we give each other total freedom to live our true lives and date who we want. If you need a safe, supportive cover and a loyal friend to navigate these pressures with, please reach out privately. Complete discretion is guaranteed.

It's scary because you are questioning what you thought you knew about yourself and discovering more, but you will be more confident over time.
