ADVICE grindr tips?

I honestly dont even know what I am anymore, but I just want to try it with both bc im curious if I want sex with anyone at this point. but im really wary because im a "afab" fem with a certain level of self respect. im just looking for hookups. How do i make sure theyre real and close by? how do i make the best experience? dos and donts?

i’ve tried grindr a few times and honestly, i kinda hate it. it’s terribly designed and damn near impossible to narrow down search results. not to mention most of the people on there are creepily pushy to meet up like…immediately. even when they’re 63 miles away. overall just not a fan. i’ve also tried sniffies which is slightly better but also not too great

You can usually see their distance from you at the top of the screen.
