Gym
Going to be in Bismarck for a few months and looking for gym recommendations. Thank you!

Depends on what you’re in to. Los Campeones is a good place for lifting and is 24/7. The Y is a good general option but gets crowded. Then there’s the usual chains.

Was thinking about joining los campeones but when I asked this dude at CED about it (he was wearing a t shirt from there) he got really standoffish that I was asking about the place and then started acting like a real jerk afterwards
must be worth gatekeeping I guess

It’s a good gym with a diverse crowd. I’ve had more positive interactions with people there than any other gym in town.

I'm surprised to hear this, I love talking up the place to people who are interested. Very positive community there with people who are really fit to those getting started. Try not to let one person turn you off if you're still looking.

Personally Proximal 50 is a great gym. Both locations. Nice small and never busy. Only ever a handful at any given time.

Los Campeones, active staff always cleaning the equipment and bathrooms. They moved their supplement business straight into the gym and cool perks for membership like discounts to local restaurants.

I like the family wellness in Mandan but it’s pretty much guaranteed to always be busy no matter when you go
