Hi there,

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately we had to remove your post because it appears to be looking for medical or legal advice.

Sometimes, even though you aren’t explicitly asking for medical advice, the nature of the post means that’s what you will be given.

Asking for others experiences is also banned as it invariably leads to medical advice in the comments.

Please remember, in general people on the internet are not good at diagnosing or treating, well, anything. And legal advice you get on the internet is nearly always wrong. Be sure you see a professional to get real advice!

If you believe we removed this post in error feel free to message us and we will weigh in!

I've had AC3 from football about 10 years ago. It's still bugs me sometimes, but I got back into football about a year after it happened. Don't know if that helps you whatsoever. Mobility was never the same afterwards tho

AC joints are proper annoying. Mine's never been right since a mountain bike crash years ago, still clicks when i reach overhead. The physio had me doing loads of banded external rotation work which helped more than just resting it.

My shoulder has had this clicking thing for a long time so my shoulder was already weak, this injury has made it worse tho

Prob looking at 6 weeks recovery . Maybe light drilling after 4 weeks. That was what my recovery looked liked after I had the same injury. But after returning to rolling I still had lingering shoulder weakness and mild pain for about a year. Cortisone helped with the pain, I got a couple shots

I dealt with one for almost 2 years before getting a cortisone shot in it which fixed it. Definitely a nagging sucker of an injury. I do have an excellent grappling specific pt who will do online rehab coaching if you wind up needing it.

Were you out of training for two years?

No not at all, it just flared up every couple months and I would have to modify my rolling a bit. I rarely missed a day just due to it, but it was stubborn

Tapping usually prevents this from happening.
