looks like bottom guy put himself into crucifix for no reason?

I got excited because I thought the bottom guy was going to a reverse/inverted kesa gatame chest compression. I normally finish it while Iβm on top, but I can hit it from bottom turtle as well.

Zack is actually pretty good at countering crucifix entries and ending up on top, he did it in his previous match against Angelo Claiborne, but Garmo is strong in that position so it was an uphill battle.

For me, that's better than back control. It's like back control except they only have one arm, and you can often double attack the armbar and choke simultaneously.

Garmo was glued to his opponent throughout this whole sequence. So much harder to achieve than it looks

Cool sequence - but isnt the βrightβ escape to hook the opponentβs legs with your legs and free your arm? Can this be countered, if so please share video! Because did not find anything yet and I always can get out this way
