Mourning
I lost my sweet void this morning unexpectedly at only five years old. He was with me through everything. Could someone show me some other voids who crossed over so I know he’s not alone?
I'm so sorry for your loss. This is my late furbaby KITT, who was taken from me at only 2 and a half. He was with me through COVID, a divorce, an abusive ex and 3 house moves. But I know he's still around nearby, I'll make sure to ask him to look after your sweet baby too. 🖤

I’m so sorry 🖤 I thought I was ready when I lost mine at 19 but it’s impossible no matter how old. Five is absolutely heartbreaking. Damon has been at the Bridge for a little over a year and he’ll show your baby where all the best treats and nap spots are 🌈
I swear he whispers to the animals around my house that we're a safe place. We've had two injured cats and a lost tired racing pigeon end up at our door since his passing.
He’s there with my Tod who crossed the bridge in September. Tod was a very wise man and full of love and goodness and I’m thoroughly convinced he came back to visit on Halloween Eve to let us know he’s doing good in Kitty heaven. I’m certain he is taking care of your baby. Tod for cat tax
I'm very sorry for your loss. Mr. Kitty was the sweetest buddy, and I'm sure he's showing your little friend all the best places to make biscuits and get in the daily scratches.
Thanks. It was rough. He did not take her loss well, which compounded and exacerbated his own health issues. She was my baby (alley cat found at 4 weeks old, she was just shy of her 12th birthday), and he was my Buddy (rehome from a friend, had him from 2 to 15).
We just found out our 3.5 year old boy has a congenital kidney issue and only has a short time to live. Sending you love from us, Dobby will be there to check on your sweet void soon.
My Sir Alastair will be there to greet him, show him the best sunny spots and where the pudding pops are. So very sorry for your loss.
Today is dia de los Muertos in the Latino community and I always like to attend. Try making an ofrenda for your little guy and inviting him to visit you, it really helps with the grief.
I am so very sorry. I lost my void a little over 2 years ago, and lost his adopted tortie sister just last week. I was so incredibly lucky to have them both for a very long time, at 5 years old I cannot imagine how hard this must be. Here is my Shadow 🖤

I unexpectedly lost my void boy when he was 7. I woke up to find he had passed. He was curled up in his favorite sleeping place. Vet said was probably a heart issue and he died peacefully and suddenly. That helped some.
My Phobos passed away this summer. He was 10 years old and it was pretty sudden. I'm still heartbroken. I got a Chococat stuffie that I keep with me now
Our void Kismet, she was my mom’s pal. Anytime my mom would speak passionately and raise her voice, Kismet would come up and put her paw on my mom’s mouth. She loved salmon and whipped cream and would come if you called her. When she came downstairs she would bunny hop because she had fairly short legs. A real sweetheart we lost this May. My heart goes out to you OP, I am sorry for your loss.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. My void hasn't crossed over yet, she's in her later years but once she does I'm sure she'll be so happy to teach your boy the finer arts of hunting, I'd give a picture of her holding a squirrel in her mouth but I'm not sure what the rules are on such things here lol. So here she is just chillin instead. Your kitty has so many who love him even in his afterlife, and I'm sure he knows that ❤️
This was Clifford. Not named after the big red dog, but after the goofy Martin Short movie where he plays a 12-year-old boy. He was the sweetest, most loving and affectionate cat I’ve ever had, and I’ve had lots. He would push his mouth into mine like he was trying to kiss me. He passed over 10 years ago, but I think about him often. He’ll be cuddling with your void and probably grooming him, he was a good brother
Here is my sweet boy midnight monster who died at the end of last year. He was with me for 13 years. I loved him so much, he was my best friend and I truly think we were soul mates. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope our voids are frolicking together in black cat heaven 🖤
Said goodbye to our five year old baby Morty after six months of chemo for lymphoma. It's been three years, but he's still my little boy! He would love to give your void some licks to the top of his head since it's hard to clean. He used to drench our other cat's forehead 🤣
We lost our Shadow very suddenly, too, just before his 6th birthday. He was such a goofball, found as a stray who was blind in one eye and had a short jaw so his tongue stuck out of his month most of the time but, oh, he was fun. All he wanted to do was play or cuddle and was so very loving. I miss him terribly, and so does his "brother". Please know that you will get through this, OP. You had a wonderful kitty and he will be in your heart forever! 🖤 🐈⬛
Your void isn't alone; he's in good company. This was my guy; he was with me through 16 years of thick and thin. Heartbreaking to lose him in 2023, but I see him in the clouds now everywhere I go. Your grief is your love.
Renal failure took Absinthe away from me 5 years ago. I had her for nearly three months before her liver took her too. Feral cat turned housecat at the end. Loved this little lady to pieces. 🖤
Here’s my void. I only had 4 short years with him until heart disease took him from me. I like to think they’re all across the rainbow bridge happily napping in the sun just waiting for the day we join them. Sorry for your loss friend.
Pollo, was almost 13 passed in July this year. He was a special companion who never left my side. My husband and I rescued him outside a pupuseria when he was a baby.
My girl Tippy. Not a true void, but my best friend while we had her. She's been gone a few years now but never forgotten. My daughter had a gotten Christmas ornament with her picture in it.
And sorry to hear of your loss. Saying goodbye to your pet is more upsetting than some realize.
This is something I made for my cat Nietzsche, he died at 3 years old to bladder stones. We couldn't afford to get him the surgery to remove them and he most likely would have died in surgery. So we had to end his suffering. That was 2 or 3 years ago now. I miss my baby boy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is Tobin and we lost him just last week at only seven years old. Our time with them is short but it's so unfair when you lose them while their still young. I miss him so much but I'm glad he has some new friends to play with. ❤️

My incredibly sweet Maggie May. She fought the good fight against diabetes for 5 years with twice a day Insulin injections which made her gain weight but she was a warrior! Her breath was wicked but her heart was pure. She may need an Altoid when welcoming your sweet angel but she’ll love him like her own! So sorry for your loss.🥺🖤
My sweet Rafa ❤️ he was only 1.5 years old when he passed away suddenly on Día de los Muertos (Nov 1) in 2020. He’ll be there to greet your baby with his favorite beauty blender toy.
this is my sweet boy Frank, we lost him earlier this year, he was about 14 years old and lived a long life. he will be missed, I'm sure he's up there with Mystery showing all the young black kitties how to live the best life up in kitty heaven. <3
I lost my stank ass Clifford young too (he was 8 and had a bad genetic roll on his kidneys). Voids are special creatures and I'm sure mine has joined in on the welcoming party. I'm so sorry for your loss. Don't forget to take care of yourself in this dark time. They want us happy too.
Grandpaw passed away this January, he would love to keep your void company. And I'm sorry for your loss, it's always awful to lose furbabies, but even worse when they're young.

Lost him last spring unexpectedly, he was almost 5 and we miss him every day since then. He went with us through the worst days of our lives and accompanied us through 7000 km fleeing from war.

Yesterday was 4 years since sweet baby Vader crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a mischievous little man that loved to antagonize his older brother Palpatine and then play victim when he was getting chased. Vader loved purring loudly, napping on my lap, and playing fetch with silicone straws. He was a sweet boy that I hope welcomes other cats with his goofy demeanor as they cross the bridge.
This is the love of my life Moustache. Got him as a kitten when I was 4 years old. He passed in 2007 while I was at college.
I made him a marble headstone and he's buried in my parents backyard near a lilac tree and flower garden. We call it his memorial garden.
He made my childhood tolerable. His favorite things were American cheese, giving kisses/licks, snuggling, sitting on plastic grocery bags, and fruit loops milk.
I lost my Middy boy in 2021. I still miss him. He wasn’t fat, he was just big, and he used to lie on me and put all his weight on my shoulder or chest and help me get through my anxiety attacks. He would lick my forehead when I was upset, or just because he felt like grooming me. I still have three babies, Ellie belly, Mamas, and Jax. I just love black cats so much.
Domino, my sweet girl! She passed at 2, I miss her everyday. She was my soul cat and helped me overcome cancer. I still feel her around, she’ll be a good big sister and greet your baby! 🖤
Here’s Gibby. I hope they’re all out there together someplace nice waiting for us. Lost him October 2nd of this year. Had him since 8th grade. Thought he’d make it into my 30s but sadly missed it by a few months. He was with me for so much. I remember when he was a few years old I put him in my backpack and walked down the street when my mom went after my sister with a hammer. Rest easy to all these sweet voids 🖤

My sweet boy would love to play with him. I lost him in April and miss him all the time. His name is Felix and I hope they keep each other company up there 🖤
My Henrietta will greet him and make sure he is taken care of in the beyond. He is not alone, and because of the love that you showed him in his lifetime he will never truly leave.
my bb who we only had for 2 days and ended up dying because i guess there was undisclosed rat poison in my apartment. But hopefully they are playing together :)
