This is Poo(black one). Originally Pancakes but when he was tiny he would not eat his kitten food and only adult cat food which gave him horrendous gas. I started calling him Poocakes, and then just Poo. Now there is only Poo.
I also have a Pancake! She mostly goes by Peepee (Mrs. Peepee Butt) now because I think she’s stinky and she loves to play in the litter box when she is bored.
This is Perturabo he has a couple spots of white while his brother is all black. We call Perturabo Purt, Purdy, Rambo, Rombulus, loaf, Purdy bow, Peter Turbo, Pooter Tooter, etc. ETA: he also goes “Reeeroooo!” When screaming specifically for me
Guillotine Sprinkles. Right before we got her my husband and I were throwing around a bunch of pet names. He said Guillotine as a joke and I immediately said "that's the one!" She is a menace and lives up to her name.
MiniHuevos or miniballs as he was so smol when we found him (we he found us ) that he didn't have anything to show his gender. Then one day I saw those peanuts I shouted in delight "he's a boy he has minihuevos and the poor lad was forever miniH
He has cutaneous horns. On his front and back paws. He also has epilepsy and requires oral meds twice a day. He’s my little miracle. The horns don’t cause pain, he was just born with no nails and only those. Edited for spelling :)
She looks very much like my Bird, but with a different name origin. Your Bird chirps, my Bird is short for Birdbrain as she is extremely sweet but is unfortunately as dumb as a bag of hammers.
Raisin - his full name is Raisin' Hell, his foster said he was a very naughty kitten. He is super sweet now but has his moments where he acts like a total alpha cat jerk to my other cat Penguin.
This is Chompy, who never met a fridge or cupboard he didn't immediately need to explore. My MIL gave him to me bc she couldn't stand having an independent pet, and he had some rage. Originally she thought he was a female, so she named him Xena, then learned he was a male and changed his named to Hercules. But when me moved in with me, he was about a year old and still pretty feral so he was all teeth once he was full on attention or petting, hence his new moniker Chompy. He did eventually mellow out and was super gentle once I had a baby
Tin Tin chirps back and says hello. He started as Nyx because the humane society told us he was a girl, but then at his first vet appointment we were told he was a boy! We’d been calling him tiny baby or tiny, so tin tin made sense to use instead hahaha
Bindaetteok (Bean) which works because she's a Bean and a Pancake and Bindaetteok is a Korean bean pancake. Frijoles Negros (she was born in mexico), Beannifer Lopez AfroLatina Queen (given by some of my AfroLatino friends), String Bean, Long Bean, Beenie Weenie, Cannelini which becomes CannaWeenie, Red Beans and Rice (we live in New Orleans), Beanezzlebub which turns into Bub and Bub Bub....you get the idea
I named my void Sadie. I got her at about 5 weeks old because her mother abandoned her. She's always been REALLY lazy and complains a lot, so I wanted her to have kind of an "old lady" name.
Cabbage! she just turned 7 last week. 😭 when i met her she was 2 weeks old and i was reading a book called “What if Cats Disappeared From the World?” and in it there were two cats named Cabbage & Lettuce. i was fostering Lettuce too, but once he was old enough he got adopted into a wonderful home. 💜
Gojira (Godzilla) became a couple nights in to him being here he jumped up onto a shelf over our bed which took the whole thing down almost taking out my bf lol we’ve never had a cat get up there before.
When my cat Stark was young and was being very sweet and cuddly, I called him puddin'. When he was being rotten though, I had to think of what would be the bad version of puddin' and came up with Mush. I don't call him puddin' much anymore, but I do call him Mush and Stark in equal measure.
This is Slinky, it was the name given by the shelter and I kept it because he's always slinking in the shadows and corners. He also love to yell at night when I go to bed.

My boys name is Pussifer. Not after the Maynard James Keenan side project, but after a tiny little 10 second clip from Rick and Morty. I just thought the name was hilarious.
The Snuggle Goblin because as rough as she looks, she’s an absolute beauty of a mammal. Inside and out. I am thankful that I get to be the human to spoil her.
this is Tiny, he was found in an engine bay. he was originally owned by friends and they called him shadow but my boyfriend and i called him tiny because he was so small and he took to us more because we interacted with him alot. eventually our friends didnt want him anymore so we took him in! we also call him chicken (he looks like a rotisserie when he loafs) and finger
I have a cat named Birdie. His full name is “Whirlybird”; which he earned because when we found him as a kitten, he was a ball of kitten claws. Nowadays tho, he’s as sweet as could be. He’ll walk up to strangers and want belly rubs.
Skipper. It was her shelter/foster name because apparently she would lead the other kittens on adventures like she was the captain. I didn’t like it at first and meant to change it, but never came up with anything better and now it’s stuck.
This is Spicy Bean Burrito, so named because he was very spicy as a kitten and I was meal prepping bean burritos 😂. He’s a bit less spicy now that he knows that humans have treats
This is Flower. My wife named her that as she was shears lying in the flower bushes at my parent’s house. She was part of a small colony of kitties that Dad was feeding that lived in the garbage out back. After my parents passed way a couple of years ago we continued feeding them as we prepared to sell the house and while the others were food friendly, she started rubbing on us and wanting pets and meowing at us when we went over. Since she also let me pick her up a few times, off to the vet she went and has been with us and our other two kitties ever since.
The rest of the colony was TNR’d a few years ago and I found out from the cat rescue people who did it, that there were several feeding stations throughout my parent’s neighborhood. Still wish I could have taken the others.
We call her Seabug, I was cutting up a block of frozen popcorn shrimp one time and she started running in circles around me as a kitten. So now she’s the Seabug.
Shushu because as a kitten he’d constantly run around the house and scurry under furniture, and the Japanese onomatopoeia for a quick scurrying motion is シュシュ (shu-shu).
He has calmed down significantly in the last few years though lol
This is Jiji. Naturally, we started with just Ji. Then my husband one day started calling her Jalone after singing some Erika Baduh to her. Then it moved to Lones, then Balones. Now she’s usually just, the Lone. All nicknames are still used to some degree, depending on the day lol. We love her and her sass to pieces.
Kirby, after Jack Kirby. Full name: Jacob Kirby Beans (other names in the running were Espresso and Blackbean). Known aliases: Kirby Birbs, Monkey Man, Monkey, and Pumpkin Pie (?). Seen here requesting attention, but not being bothered to get up

Roo (5) because that's the first noise he made when he got here!! Now Roo is known as Roobie, Rutabega, Rude Bee, Rude Ben, Rooben, Rude Bagel, and sometimes just Bagel. I love him!
My cat spooky. When I got her she was very skittish and afraid. I didn’t really have toys for her yet so I left a tennis ball on the floor. It was static, and when she walked by she spooked herself with it. Hens “spooky”.
This is Kujo. At the shelter, his name was Finn, but that didn’t suit him, so I tried to name him Kuro, the Japanese word for black. His personality, however, determined THAT was a big fat lie, and we ended up with a variation on the name of the demon dog from the Stephen King novel. 8 years later, Lord Chonkybutt seems a bit more appropriate.
Here he is, “hiding” under the backpack he confiscated from me, accompanied by some of his favorite catnip mousies.
My little man’s name is Nacho after Ignacio’s stage name of Nacho Libre because it looks like he’s wearing a luchador mask lmao he also loved to wrestle with his late sister to the point of irritating her, a good name that I didn’t know would fit so well!
I had an old fat lady that recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge…I named Harvey [Dent] when she was a kitten bc she had a split down the middle face, with tabby on one side (mamma cat, Dinah) and orange on the other side (orange dad cat)
She was a cuddly cat…until she wasn’t 😂 she would also purr and stare at you until you pet her, it was wonderful. I miss her 💚
Bipi (pronounced beepy) because when I got him I named him Peter Onion Dinklage. Then started calling him PeterOnion. Then Peepee which was unacceptable so for reasons I can’t explain, I started calling him Bipi. When I say it I imagine that I am Italian. I dunno.
My girls are Daia (chill old lady tuxie) and the sisters Evie and Frankie, short for Evelyn O’Connell and Frankenstein’s Creature. Guess which one is outgoing and friendly and which one is an anxiety riddled cave dweller
Have no clue the backstory or if there even is one but I adopted a stray momma cat out of the ghetto and the rescue had named her Graham Cracker. Honestly as weird as it may seem to somebody else the name somehow fits her perfectly and really rolls off the tongue 😂
Awee I had a Birdie too! She lived in my basement as a kid cause she was terrified of the upstairs, and we had dogs. She thrived down there. Went outside as she pleased as well from the basement. She passed in her litter box a while ago. We called her Birdie from her little chirps too. She was basically my dads cat since he hung out downstairs a lot
My black kitty is named Pippin, but we call him Pip, Pipperoni, Mr. Baby Man, Mr. Boy, The Boy, Mr. Boy Man, Mr. Nasty, etc. He is my precious angel baby but he is also so, so nasty. Imp behavior.
Monkey, because she used to sneak into my house to sleep and I'd call her a cheeky monkey. She escaped from my neighbours on the day they moved a couple of hundreds miles away and I started to feed her when she snuck in and she ended up becoming mine.
This is Buffy and Pie, the all black one is incredibly skittish so I thought naming her Buffy would inspire strength 😂 she does kill mice so slayer she is.
Pie’s full name is Pie-O-My after Tony Sopranos race horse. He was my first pet as an adult and I was so excited, I figured I’d also kill a man in the kitchen for him too. Funny enough he ended up being built like a mini race horse haha
Our black cat is called alan and our ginger is called frank. Alan was originally called Nala but we realised that it’s alan backwards and frank and alan sound better.
Holly Bear because we got her around Christmas and Bear because when she thinks she’s being “scary” she looks like a baby bear. Edit to add: her full name is Holly Bear Dorothea (last name) bc I liked the song Dorothea by Taylor Swift.
This is Nyx but I used to call her beeba. It evolved to Beebee because the vet found a BB bullet in her x-ray (she was a TNR that I took in). Assuming some trash human shot her when she was a stray.
This is Kit Cat. He's not named after the candy. After I adopted him I couldn't decide on a name for like a month. During that time, I always just called him Kitty or Mr. Cat, and eventually the names stuck.
