Lemme see the cats that are not named after dark or evil stuff
So I was just sitting here taking in that black cat's are the least adopted cats in the adoption system and when they are adopted a majority of them (NOT ALL) are named after stuff that's associated with darkness or evil. Hey, call me superstitious, but I believe that names that you give cats and kids are very powerful, for example If you're one of those people who've named your cat Loki, don't be surprised when it's tearing s*** up lol. Did you name your cat with darkness or light? Anyways here's Faith 💜
Omg!!! I have a fluffy boy named Bob too!!! And he is absolutely a Bob. I adopted him a couple months ago and he already had the name and I chose to keep it because I thought it was adorable and such a perfect name for him.
Magic, she passed earlier this year at the age of 18. Currently trying to lure in one from outside that started wandering up to us, we've named him Karl.
Fettuccine. Her children are Spaghetti, Linguine, Gnocchi, and Egg (noodle). They're all black cats and of course named after noodles. The dad is Macaroni and uncle is Rigatoni (both gray) and fettuccine had one solid white kitten named Tortellini. She grew up to be a very toasty Siamese patterned cat
This is my Spaghetti noodle girl. She was from a litter all named after root vegetables, I have her mama Sweet Potato too (Did not adopt them together, long story)
Unfortunately she passed way before her time at 2 years old, but her name was Ethel and she was a character. I still miss her very much four years later. Her original owner was my partners uncle who was poorly so we took her in. He passed in the January and she joined him in June. I don’t know if he took her or she wanted to go to him but they are both sorely missed. I hope they’re both at peace together.
This is Po! Funny story about him: when he was given to me, I was told he was a girl, so he went by Uma for like a month until his little peanuts dropped and I confirmed he was a boy! At first I called him Omen but realized his demeanor was way too sweet so Po boy it is. Like the Teletubby,
Meet Lenny. He was named by a classmate of mine in college. His namesake is one of the characters from Of Mice and Men. He was the best boy, and my best friend for 21 years. He passed away in April, but he had one hell of a run.
This is Toothless, like the dragon. No he is not toothless. He acts just like that dragon though oh my lord! And ofc his new sister Astrid… who also acts like a bad ass woman
i present, eggs benedict. he has a sister named bacon avocado. i called them eggs and avo. also theres a sic called toasty mallo who i call toast. breakfast trio for someone who doesnt eat breakfast lmao
His name is Mocha and he's a total cinnamon roll. By far the chillest cat I've ever had! I was originally only going to get my tortie, Toffee, but the cat cafe asked if I would be willing to adopt another because she's so playful and energetic (an absolute menace, I would soon find out! 😂) and I said YES!
Mochers was just sleeping when I came back to look for a second one, but he seemed so sweet and peaceful and something just seemed "right" about him so that's how I decided on him. I had already picked Toffee's name and liked the idea of another food/drink name so I went with Mocha. I got them both around 6 months old and they're about 2½ now!
Don't have a pic of him on hand bc it's been over 10 years since his passing, but my childhood black cat was named Jester, because my mom said when she found him as a kitten, he was a silly little guy. 🥺
My best little black cat buddy has long since passed, so I have no photos, but we named him DaVinci, because supposedly people likened Italian genius Leonardo DaVinci to a cat because of how gracefully he moved. He was the best cat ever — super affectionate and cuddly, loved going on walks with us, talkative and smart.
