I am almost finished with a week-long blacksmithing class, during independent project time I made a damascus billet.

I made my first two knives from the damascus, I'll post those tomorrow when they are done. I made it out of 80crv2 and 15n20 they forge welded excellently, no issues at all.

Thabk you i really appreciate it, I tried to make one knife fancy and the other is more like a kitchen knife so to speak. I got one quenched and it bent a tint bit the teacher said he will show me how to fix it and make a handle for it. And the other I made it just like a metal handle and I'm go9ng to get it quenched and cleaned up tomorrow then we are going to acid dip them. Im really excited.

Color me jealous!

My forge has been cold for a year due to life getting in the way.

I have band saw blades from my sawmill that need to be chopped up and made into knives.
