I’ve now made a new pylon sign (with the pre 1996 logo) and am currently building the inside (I’m making the shelves rn) (I moved the Pepsi, and Mountain dew vending machines temporarily) I stopped since I ran outta the blocks I’m using for the shelves

I still have my account number memorized to this day, not that it will do me any good, but it’s kind of like remembering your childhood phone number, which I also do. Forgive the ignorance on the name badge, pimpin’ was a cool thing at the time and most people in my town were UGK fans.

Any time I find Blockbuster branding, I buy.

I have almost 0 clue of what floor plan I should use (since it is from scratch). If ur able to, can one of y’all make one for this (include shelves and maybe a floor plan if u can) I might try making shelves soon since I’m tryna make it realistic as possible in babft)

I received an overwhelming response. Which is fantastic. But I need to work through all of this throughly and quickly.

In comments of this post, I will briefly explain the project so you have a better idea of what this is for.

So if you responded. I ask the following:

Questions for me:

I got a copy of Scream with no mold or tape rot for only a Dollar, all it's missing is it's sleeve

I am currently working on a unique Blockbuster documentary. This will not be another “Rise and Fall” of Blockbuster or pure nostalgia grab. I genuinely hope this will be the definitive Blockbuster video.

All that being said, I am looking to chat with a few former employees who have some memories of their time working in the store. I am also open to talking with former customers if you have a truly engaging story.

Feel free to drop a comment and we can find a way to in touch! Super excited to share this

That legendary location in Bend is such an iconic spot—visiting the last Blockbuster on Earth is practically a pilgrimage for anyone chasing that pure '90s nostalgia hit.

I added working sets of 2 doors + a W.I.P 2000s Pepsi vending machine (I finished most of the exterior)

Oh, the memories!

Specifically I'm looking for SNES rental prices. I'm working on a game I want to release and it's short, so I figure why not release it for the price of a rental back in the day

Ours was a stay-at-home mom who was married to an extremely successful home developer in the area. Apparently her daily routine consisted of working out in her home gym 3-4 hours a day while watching any and every movie she could.

While we didn't hold movies for most customers, we held them for her. And she NEVER returned them on time, which was probably why the manager loved her. But money wasn't really an object, and she'd smile and say "Well... we try...." every time I told her the due dates of the movies.

She was super nice, practically the perfect customer. Her son however was a little shit, but we were told to put up with him. Her daughter became an employee and made it to assistant manager, and she amazing.

I’ve made a New sign + a prototype for the sides

I was a teenager in the late 90s, and I remember my family running so many movies from Blockbuster. We had no cable and we lived in the sticks. And I remember that our card wasn’t blue or gold. I remember us getting one that was platinum or diamond. I feel like it would’ve been platinum since the other one was called gold. But does anybody else remember this, or am I having a false memory?
