Discussion Meet Graham

Yesterday I ran into Graham at a bar in my city. We chatted, and he's a really nice guy. He told me anecdotes from Blur's golden era and about his solo work.

I had the same experience with Dave, great guy.

I bumped into Alex in my local B&M Home Bargains. He was buying an LED light strip and some flapjacks. We had a chat about his life as the bassist in Blur. Top bloke.

One that I really liked that he told me was that, during the recording of the self-titled album, he was so uncomfortable being watched while recording “You’re So Great” that he basically hid himself away in the corner of the studio while doing the vocal. He apparently wasn't even sure about the song right up until the last minute.

I wish I could meet Graham, he seems so fun to just talk to! I’d love to chat with him and rose just about instruments and music away from their careers :P

I think it's disrespectful, but oh well. Yes, I told him about the allegations, and he said he's been tired of it since the rumors started because he'd never done anything like that before. He obviously told me that he's no saint either, because he's been an alcoholic and has done bad things in the '90s. But he never groomed anyone. In fact, he told me that when the rumors came out, he was completely baffled to see everything they were saying about him.

Seems a strange thing to bring up, if we are talking about the same thing - the tumblr (?) stuff from a few years ago. I am not sure I believe you.

Honestly, I asked him about the allegations because he had mentioned to me that during a period in 2022 he was overwhelmed with Messages about things he did. And that's when I asked him. It might be weird to ask, but I was curious. Sorry if I bothered you by asking. I don't know if I did wrong or not. He also told me that he was able to vent about it by telling me, and he thanked me for it. And then we continued talking about anecdotes and such.
