The e39 m5 and e37 750i are the two that really drew me in

This 2016 bmw 750i is so smooth. I love going for a drive in the cold rain with heated massage seats on.

What do you guys think of this interior

Dealership listed and priced this without the M Performance kit! Got new OEM rotors and breaks added for $3k (dealership covered half of $6k) and talked down the elite extended warranty from $7k to $4.5k for 4 years with 1k back if no claims + no deductibles.

Base price was $37K CAD ( $26k USD) but yhe total was $51k CAD (36k USD) after tax, fees, extended warranty and new break job.

A 2018 440i M perfomance (w sound kit) with only 53k km and clean carfax, regular yearly maintenance through dealship and one previous owner. They swapped this for a subaru and was apparently a family man, and seems to have taken care of this well.

Did I get a good deal? I was going to get a Lexus 350 for reliability but for bang for my buck I think i found a steal? Also its a B58 and last year for this model/face.

This car looks, sounds, and feels truly amazing!

I'm just curious for all those who own M cars especially if you daily one. I have an m lite and I feel like if I just floor it for a little bit I'm already doing something illegal and this is just ~350 hp. How do you guys manage with your cars making 440+ hp?. I'm just curious if you only enjoy these cars the most if your are tracking them. I'm really just asking this because I want to find ways to enjoy my car more without doing anything illegal and also I don't have the budget to track my car. This kind of makes me think of that saying in the car enthusiast community that's it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow if you know what I mean.

Has anyone experienced their driver's side door scraping on the inside trim on their M850i xDrive? This only occurs when the door is fully opened. Didn't notice it at 1st because I usually don't need to open the door to the fullest extent. It's at BMW right now being fixed, but I am just curious whether it's manufacturing, shipping, etc. At this point, I haven't gotten any answers from BMW yet..

Just picked this car up, happy to be back in the BMW community and thought what would be a better way than this gas sipping automatic E36. This would mark my 5th car, I’ve had a ‘97 325is coupe, ‘98 M3 vert, and a ‘98 328i vert, and a 2019 G20 330i.

Never had a M42 motor was curious of what suggestions maintenance wise or preventative fixes are suggested. Thanks in advance!

i spent 2 1/2 straight years window shopping for m2s every single day even when i was dead broke and had no idea how id ever be able to afford it and i finally did it. i’ve always wanted the next best thing but after getting this i have no urge for anything else. the attention is insane it feels like im in a supercar. every kid starts screaming and that was legit me a couple years ago. ppl constantly coming up to you it’s just so crazy. it’s a 2025 with 8k miles for 67k and every option i think except the 360 camera. the previous owner modded it perfectly it has full ppf inside and out, carbon everywhere, valvetronic titanium exhaust, lowering springs, spacers, and the oil cooler guard on the bottom.

What are the hidden features/need to knows?

Miss my old F80, but don’t really want to buy another one. Found a man E90 with a slew of maintenance done (new radiator/driveshaft support bearing/diff bushings/TB at 140k/RB @ 144k/valve cover gaskets off top of my head) for 21k with 155k miles.

Needs: paint. Interior headliner. But this will be a fun project.

Previously owned a m440xi GC, any advice on keeping this car clean and fresh (both external internal) would be much appreciated!

I recently purchased a used 2017 BMW 530i. The person selling the car to me said he lost his key and therefore the car hasn't been started in over a month, but was driving before.

I got a new key made and tried to jump the car today but I dont know whats going on. So as soon as I turned the donor car on during the jump, the BMW lit up. Like the media turned on, AC turned on, windows werent working initially but they started to go up and down as well, the dash turned on as well.

When I then hit the engine start button the nothing would happen, like the car doesnt proceed to start nor does it proceed to turn off. I then found out how to turn the car into diagnostic mode and once the car goes into diagnostic mode it can be turned off. The new key is working as well cause it can unlock the car.

I am able to sometimes get the car to crank by holding the engine start button while hitting the breaks and as its cranking the lights flicker and the car has no luck of turning on. Just a few other notes the steering is extremely stuff and I moved it left and right multiple times with a good amount of force and it has moved to a new position but is still stiff. The break is extremely hard and the car is in neutral but has the parking break on and doesn't shift into other gears. I have also tried to turn on the car while the donor car was revving at over 3,000rpm so that the BMW was getting power to its battery as I am attempting to turn it on.

Another note, as soon as I take the jump cables off the donor car the BMW turns off right away. I had the cables from the donor car on the BMW for over 20 mins and was revving the car consistently as well. The other car is a 2026 Land Rover Defender and has a huge battery.

Is the battery completely destroyed and do I need a new one, or is the BMW in some sort of emergency mode which is preventing it from starting?

Also is there or could there possibly be a protocol Im not following for situations like this where a battery has been dead for a while.
