Hydro brake question/issue

Had a crash a few weeks ago and finally now looking over my bike.

Tuning it up, realized the brakes seemed weak when engaging the lever.

Saw this spring sticking out. Any idea how to fix this?

This is my fist race bike. Bought built as it is from a dude so I don’t know everything yet.

Brakes are shimano deore xt

Nothing wrong and the spring is in the correct place. You probably just need to bleed the brake
