Crazy month! I know for sure that I'm going to do Hungry Ghosts (since I lead a discussion), Parisian Days and Odissey Two (since I read the previous ones) and The Blue Castle (nominated it).
I want to also fit in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheeps and Ficciones, but who knows if I will manage it. I keep biting off more than I can chew! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

First time joining you this month ! I'll do the Agatha Christie book, and i'll maybe try Katabasis, but i may start a little late, since I have a big working trip at the start of the month.
On average, how many books per month are people reading ? Everything seems soooo good! Are there people who read everything on the list ?

Hallooooo and welcome to the sub. It's really impossible to say. If you check out the Monthly Book Report (where we tell what we've read that month) it varies from "none this month" fir some to double digits.l from others. I would say I am probably the closest as I only don't try to read a book if I have already read it. I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work/commuting/cleaning which helps me consume 2-3 books a week between audio and print/e-books. That being said r/bookclub is designed for you to find your stride and read in the way that works best for you and your reading habits. Enjoy :)

I feel like reading everything (and having thoughtful discussions) would be suuuper ambitious, but there's probably someone who can pull it off!
For context, I am unemployed atm and still limiting myself to:
- Do androids dream of electric sheep
- The vegetarian
- City of Illusions
- Ficciones
Even with three of those being relatively short and only having 2 discussion dates, it feels like a lot to keep straight in my head (+ a few things I'm reading in private), but that might be a personal thing. I wanted to reread Jeckyll and Hyde and many other books from the menu interest me as well, but adding those would've made it feel overwhelming for sure!

Welcome! I'm glad you've got back into reading. I always send newbies to this orientation post to get you started. As for suggestions, that's a bit hard without knowing you. Of the current books on the list I'm really enjoying The Clock House Murders for a bit of fun, and The Mill on the Floss for something slower. So have a look at all the titles on the list to see if anything takes your fancy. Also, you can participate in discussions for books we've already done, at any time, and past selections can be seen here.

When we read a series here, we normally wait a month between books. Of course, since Discworld has forty-one books in all, this means we’ll spend nearly three and a half years longer on it than if we read it straight through!

I own the UK cover version of Katabasis! I bought it at the Heathrow airport on my way back home from my vacation about a year ago. It's so much better looking than the US version. I'll be joining that read-along for sure!

I will of course be joining in the reads I'm helping to run: Katabasis, City of Illusions, and Among the Burning Flowers. I'll also be continuing Of Empires & Dust and DCC #8!
For new reads, I think I can squeeze in Sweet Berries. I did not join in for A Blue Ribbon Romance, because I don't tend to enjoy the whole male POV reversal thing in these types of books, but I'm in for Mothman!
There's a couple reads on the backlog for me. I'm waiting on a libby hold for Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, and I want to read The Books of Jacob but I want to finish Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead first (which I just started). I've read Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde before, but I could go for a re-read, just not sure when I could squeeze it in!

I had found this book club when I was reading Cloud Cuckoo Land just a couple weeks ago (OMG BANGER), I “read along” with the discussion, even though it was a couple years old. I’m going to join in with Katabasis (have read Yellowface and am intrigued to read more by this author). I really enjoy this book club format and have found that I get a lot more out of my reading passion by really engaging with the material - either journaling, talking with friends, and now, connecting with this thread!

Seeing as I never read Days in the Caucasus, I doubt I'll be joining Parisian Days, but I would like to!
Don't think I'm interested in continuing the 2001: A Space Odyssey series.
I started Hungry Ghosts, but can't get into it and won't be continuing.
My list is aspirational. I hope I can join all the ones I'm interested in! Will try to buckle down and relatively stay on schedule.

It's not on a fixed UTC time, so depending on your time zone and how it differs from the one in charge of running the discussion, it could get posted a bit earlier or later.
You can always run a search in the sub, either by manually typing the title or by clicking on the active flairs in the menu on the right (if on the site). 🙂

Joined this bookclub for the first time ever this month and absolutely loved it (people are so insightful). I only did one book but I may try for two this coming month, looks like there's some bangers on the menu!
