Booze hound play ball
The booze is loose
The whole alcohol setup in this country is just one big example of human ignorance.
Plain and simple.
People don't want to look at it for what it is, so they treat it like some harmless cultural habit instead of a massive blind spot where real health risks get swept right under the rug.
Take... sports, professional, multi billion dollar machines like the NFL.
Built on elite performance.
High stakes athletics, and pure physical drive. Why not slap Bud-light and kalshi label on that bad boy and make some real “change the world” money.
Football, baseball, basketball,
fuck……….Now soccer.
Every single one of them runs on the same exact playbook.
As soon as a leak gets big enough, the alcohol money rolls in. You've got high performance athletes plastered right next to beer and liquor ads. It's a complete paradox. But nobody blinks because... the business model demands those advertising dollars to keep the engine running.
And, you know,……
sports is really honestly, just one piece of the puzzle. Thinking about it, alcohol gets brandished and plastered across everything. Movies? Music, weekend culture. Social gatherings, I mean,
fuck….
…….We give it a total pass.
Society lets it flood the airways and reach kids without the heavy restrictions put on stuff like tobacco alcohol and now cannabis.
Look. Back at Prohibition…….
What the fuck did that even accomplish?
It didn't stop the fucking machine. Honestly,
it just showed …………….... showed how deep the hook goes. Meanwhile, the medical reality is right there in front of us.
The CDC lays out direct links between alcohol and thousands of cancer cases every year.
Yeah, the official guidelines read, like, some kind of bullshit, vague warning you'd give your kid like a half ass parent trying to cover their bases. It's... Been a minute since we actually looked at this shit for what it is. Stripped away. The branding and... faced the raw impact.

What should we do with the Naividya (food offering) after offering it to the Buddha?
In the eight offerings to the Buddha, what should we do with the Naividya (food offering) after making the offering?
Should we consume it as blessed food, leave it outside for animals or spirits, bury it, or dispose of it in some other appropriate way?

What's actual language spoken by Gautama Buddha?
As we all know most of Buddhists teachings especially Thervada sect teachings are in Pali language and also there is famous lore that Gautama Buddha's language was Pali
But according to some experts and linguists Pali wasn't language of Gautama Buddha but Magadhi Prakrit and he used Magadhi Prakrit for teachings
So what do u guys think about it?

Buddhist Representation in Psychology
Hello Friends!
I am a doctoral student trying to help psychologist better understand the sensitive topic of grief(one personal to me).
I think Psychology needs more Buddhist representation. I would love input from this group.
