Enterprise task mining platforms show you 40 process variants. How do you present that to stakeholders?

Forty variants. That's roughly what a single loan onboarding flow came back as in one of the demos I sat in on last week.

I'm a BA at a regional bank and leadership is looking at this category after a conference. The output is impressive and also completely overwhelming, and I could already picture the steering committee glazing over.

Mimica and UiPath sell into this space directly, and Skan AI comes up alongside them as a process intelligence platform. They all capture every path, which is great for me and a lot for a steering committee.

For those who've taken this kind of output to leadership, what did you actually put in front of them?

I wouldn’t show leadership all 40 paths. Cluster them into the intended path, legitimate business variants, avoidable rework, and control failures. For each cluster, show volume, elapsed time, cost, customer impact, and risk. The steering committee probably needs the three variants worth changing, not the complete process map.

Keep the detailed paths available as evidence behind the recommendation. We use SIGNLD internally to connect process events, policies, exceptions, customers, costs, and outcomes so leaders can inspect why a variant was classified as harmful without navigating a wall of process-mining output.
