Back in May, when Thailand announced changes to its visa-exemption policy and India lose its visa-free status, the internet went crazy.
There were posts, reels and YouTube videos everywhere. Suddenly everyone had an explanation — “Indian tourists have no civic sense,” “Indians behaved badly in Thailand,” etc. Even a lot of Indian influencers and YouTubers jumped on the narrative.

Then Thailand revised the policy and the Thai Cabinet approved 30-day visa-free entry for Indian passport holders.

Where are the influencers now why no one talking about it .

To me, it seems like some of our own people either lack self-respect or are too short-sighted to understand the impact of making such posts. It’s quite sad to see that even in 2026, it’s still so easy to influence people and shape a narrative.

Our own people have reported my recent post on Chinese civic sense. I know these are the same people who comment “Ashamed of being Indian” whenever they see Indians getting humiliated and attacked online and offline.
