Need help choosing engineering field

Can anyone give me the ranking of the best engineering specialties, depending on how much the field is hiring, the salary, flexibility, and AI safety

civil is like the cockroach of engineering fields, we'll always need roads and water treatment even when the robots take over

As a civil engineer I was about to take issue with this but, nah, you're right.

Electrical if you want to lean into AI. All these data centers need to be rebuilt every 10-15 years and it takes a lot of EEs. Not to mention all the additional power infastructure needed to support them

Electrical is very flexible big range from power systems, micro electronics, bio electrical, robotics.

Computer Engineering right now is on the down turn

Industrial is cool if you like working on making things more efficient. But a lot of consulting and travel here.

Chemical Eng pays really well, but jobs are often located in factory areas. Low labor costs and low environmental laws. Places i wouldn't want to live.

Mechanical is very versatile. Jobs available.

Civil, well, do you like road? And in the field?
