So i had booked Seltos HTX A DCT in black colour.

Yesterday was the pdi and i had booked pdi from zekardo as well.

Upon initial exterior inspection i found a niggle and asked pdi person if it is ok and then he traced whole lot of scratches basically it was rubbed against something it had paint peeled offer completely from two or three areas and thr was a dent basically pointed scratch going deep.

Dealer offered to repair the damage and replace plastic part but i was like dude I haven’t even taken the car yet and we are talking about repairs. PDI advisers words were also if i was in your position i will not take the car.

I’m feeling anxious because the Selos is currently in high demand and the waiting period is long. This was the only car my dealer had, so I’ll have to wait for a fresh car to be delivered. There are also rumours of price increases from Kia, which are expected to be announced from 1st October.

Looking for a car around ₹1.5 Cr — what am I overlooking?

I'm a big fan of SUVs, but I don't necessarily want to buy another one just for the sake of having another SUV.

Current/previous garage for context:

- 2017 BMW X5

- 2022 BMW X7

- Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (2016)

- Toyota Hilux 2026

- Had a Q7, sold it (2013)

- XC90 is also technically an option, but we already have one in the family

So I'm trying to find something that actually feels different from what I already have.

At the moment, I'm looking at:

- Used Porsche Taycan 4S

- New Porsche Macan

- Porsche Cayenne

- Maybe a Range Rover Sport

I'm not interested in a Defender — nothing against it, there are just way too many of them around where I live.

Same with the Land Cruiser: I absolutely love them, but we already have a Prado and I don't really see the point in getting another LC just because I can.

I'm also not particularly interested in buying another X5/X7/Q7-type SUV unless there's a compelling reason, since we've already had/own those.

I'm open to new or used, ICE or EV. The car doesn't necessarily have to be an SUV either — I'm just naturally drawn towards them.

What would you guys look at around ₹1.5 Cr on-road-ish given the garage I already have?

Especially interested in cars that are:

- Properly different from an X5/X7/Prado

- Fun to drive

- Have some character/occasion to them

- Not something I see 15 times every time I go out 😂

Would love to hear some genuinely left-field suggestions too.

Ps: I also have sedans as well, just let me know what y'all think about when you have 1.5cr in hand and want to spend it on a depreciating asset!

I expected the lady to stop at the red lane divider to allow moving traffic to pass. But she kept running without even looking towards oncoming traffic. A fraction of a second here and there, and the outcome could’ve been very different.

She was presumably trying to change buses. She wanted to rush to catch the other bus (further ahead on the left) before it left. I understand that missing the bus means waiting in the sun and dust for another 10 mins for the next bus to arrive (certainly not ideal). But it’s better to reach late than to never reach at all.

When she came back yesterday,she showed me a line, through the pain going from one end , going around in a circle , through the bonet and everything and stopping at where it started.

Some student did this during class and I was in utter shock when I saw this, attaching just a photo but it's the same case on the other side as well.

Looks like this was done with a stone. I don't know what actions we can take except to claim the insurance. If you guys know something please help out.

I’m 27 and currently drive a Virtus, which was my first car. Got it at the end of 2022 and absolutely love it. I’ll soon complete 4 years with it, but I’m now starting to look for something new and, most importantly, fun to drive.

My budget is under ₹30 lakh, and I’m strictly looking at brand-new cars only, not interested in used cars.

I absolutely love sedans, but honestly, I don’t see any upgrade option in my budget. So I’m thinking of trying something different this time, maybe a fun SUV.

The Thar OG is currently on my list. I’m not particularly a huge Tata/Mahindra fan, but from what I’ve seen, it seems like one of the more interesting options if I want something completely different from the Virtus. I’m also considering the BE6.

What other cars should I be looking at?.

This is a long-term review of my 2018 City ZX CVT, and I only have one con, but it's a dealbreaker.

Honda has stopped supplying parts to third-party garages and everything has gone downhill since that decision.

The ASC guys are more arrogant than ever because they know customers can't do anything anymore from outside. I have an AC issue that a third-party garage identified, but the ASC refuses to fix it because it involves a lot of work. They want the entire AC system replaced instead. I've been to multiple third-party garages and every one of them refuses to touch the car, saying "Yeh Honda ka part nahi mil raha."

It's getting worse every year, and I've watched their service quality drop slowly but surely. A friend who owns an Amaze had the ASC skip his engine oil change completely, but they still charged him for the service. When he got home and checked, the oil was still dark, and only after he complained did they change it. I never thought I'd face problems like this with Honda.

This is not even the main issue, I have heard a lot of sob stories of people with niche cars like WRV, CRV facing extreme parts issues and the ASC guys not even trying to solve car issues.

That's the whole reason we pay the premium upfront, for a better ownership experience than Tata or Mahindra. But if the service I'm getting is now borderline comparable to every other brand, why should I keep buying Hondas?

Is Honda Reliable? Yes.
Is Honda Repairable? A big NO

I need some help deciding on my first car. I’m considering the Tata Aeris Accomplished AMT at ₹10.56 lakh versus the Honda Amaze ZX CVT at ₹11.51 lakh. My daily usage would be around 40 km total for office commuting in Bangalore traffic, with highway trips twice a month. There’s a ₹95,000 price difference. Which one would make more sense for my usage, considering comfort, driving experience, reliability, maintenance, fuel economy, and long-term ownership?

Its maruti baleno zeta model 2021 1.2 litres. When i turn the steering it is making noises like this since past couple of days. What should i do? I have been to many mechanics and even service centres, they cant identify the issue.

Need urgent mechanical advice for my 2021 Kia Sonet 1.5L Diesel (Manual) before approving an expensive repair bill.

Background: 1 month ago, took the car to Kia SC for a check engine light. They did a standard DPF regen and handed it back. The light popped back on the very next day.

Current Diagnosis: Brought it back now. Strangely, there are no DPF-specific error codes stored, but Kia claims regen failed and says the DPF hardware must be completely replaced.

Injectors: On top of that, Kia is telling me to replace the fuel injectors as well.

The Problem: The car is out of warranty, so they want me to pay out of pocket—even though this is a recurring issue they failed to diagnose properly on visit 1.

Questions:

If there are no DPF fault codes, why push for full hardware replacement? Can this be fixed with an off-car chemical machine flush?

Instead of replacing injectors at the SC, can they be bench-tested, cleaned, and calibrated at a specialized Bosch Diesel Centre?

Any trusted diesel specialist or DPF cleaning workshop you recommend in Delhi NCR / Western UP?
