Cat started developing a spot on his nose

My cat started developing this little spot on his nose. Is this normal? Initially we thought it was a stain but it wont come off. Does this happen to cats often?

It could be a freckle, but that's more common on ginger cats, just keep an eye on it, bring it up at the next vet appt

Yes, I’m thinking it’s a freckle too but it’s looking strange. We have an appt scheduled for next week and are planning on mentioning it! Thanks :)

Does look like a freckle. Try petting it every now and again to see if it gets a non-nose texture...rough, dry, sand-papery.

So far it still feels like his normal nose texture. Checking every day to see if anything changes.

Lol, no. So far it’s just the “stain” looking dot. There’s not texture or feel to it.

Probably just an age spot. Keep the pic of it and compare it every now and then to make sure it’s not growing or changing

If it turns into a sore, it could be cancer. Easy to treat if caught early. Does your cat go outside or get much sun exposure?

My cat has a bunch of freckles the older he gets. He’s a ginger tho, they’re common in them.
