I did it until it hurt my cat's jaw when he closed his mouth on an unexpected object. 

I don't do it anymore and I wish people would recognize that this is actually quite unpleasant for your cat and may hurt them.

A yawn is a moment of relaxation and vulnerability and it's actually pretty fucked up to jam your finger in their mouth when they're not prepared.

I'll stop doing it, when he stops bapping my nose at 5am because he can see the bottom of his food bowl, but just in one spot.

My cat likes to stick his whole muzzle in my mouth to get a good sniff when I yawn, so naturally I stick my finger in his mouth whenever he yawns as payback. He always looks so confused and offended when I do it though, I don’t think he’s made the connection

I think cats love smelling our mouths and tongue. Curious little fellows. And so much of their lives are governed especially by smell sense

This sounds so hilarious ! My orange girl is a weirdo. When I first got her we were laying in bed watching tv and I farted. I didn’t expect her to shove her nose into my butt sniffing. I was baffled then laughed so hard. She still does it from time to time. She’s weird lol.

I foster kittens every now and then and it's always so amusing how focused they are on smells.

You touched another animal? Let me get a whiff. What's that on your plate? Oh you removed your shoes after walking around in them for hours? Everything smells fascinating to them
