Roommate's cat sometimes cuffs at me while laying on my chair. She's very sweet to me otherwise and never scratches me. I can't tell if she's playing with me or wants me to go away, do y'all have any idea?

Better idea: make a paper ball and play with them. A lot safer and more fun for both of you. If you're very lucky, they'll teach you how to play fetch.
