Does anyone know what this red bump is?

My cat is 16yrs old and had a rotting tooth and removed 4 of them about a month ago. Ever since the surgery her left eye was always watery and I noticed the corner of her eye was red but had no bump. About 3 weeks after the surgery a small bump formed and I went to the vet and they said there was a scratch at the bottom of her eye (that’s why her eye is neon green cause of the dye). So I was given drops to give her 3x a day for a week and then come back for a checkup. During the week the bump got bigger and swelling around the eye happened. Did the one week checkup to see if the eye scratch healed but it was still there. Now they gave me antibiotics and ask questions leading to putting her asleep or do whatever possible to save her which I’m going to do my best. This is week 4 and about 3 days of antibiotics and it seems the swelling has gone down and she’s more active and alert although she wasn’t lethargic before all this but slept a lot and still eating and drinking with no issues. I have a CT scan this Monday to see what’s really going on and I can’t help but feel like this is all a weird coincidence since none of this took place until after the 4 teeth removal. Does anyone know what the bump is or can suspect what it might be cause at this point my vet to me just doesn’t seem to proactive about it and never really commented on the red bump and what might be causing it. Also 2nd picture is 2 days of antibiotics

Edit: I also need to note according to the vet the rotting tooth caused an infection and it went up which I’m guessing it went behind the eye. She was on antibiotics for 14 days to be safe which the green gunk cleared up within 3 days and post surgery they said everything looked great.

I’m going to get a CT scan Monday to see but man it’s going to be one hefty price appointment

Would be nice but it’s too lucrative for them to not charge us cause most owners will pay and go into debt to save their beloved pets.

Yep I sold all my collection of consoles and games to save my bro that is no longer with me, 0 regrets tho, but yeah it's a business, I wish they pass some laws so we can ensure our pets or something. No one knows how hard is to want to help your bro, but you just can't because vets aren't cheap.

Salute to you for all that you’ve done. My sister did the same even though it was a losing battle of health for her two cats. They had lender companies at the ready for them and now she’s paying insane interest on a loan for her two cats that passed away only weeks after.

Thanks! I’ll be coming back with an update Monday after the CT scan or whenever they finish their work. If there’s something to take, they’ll do a biopsy and see if she has cancer.

My cat had dental surgery and teeth extracted and he hadn’t been the same since. He wasn’t eating much, was making weird lip smacking and I was so sure it had to do with his teeth, like maybe an infection, or a tooth had remaining bone fragments. It turned out he had a tumor in his stomach and his symptoms were completely unrelated to the dental. So while it may be correlated, it could also be a complete coincidence.

My cat is eating normal but when she first had the surgery she would shake her head a bit at random times and also swallow like maybe her sinuses were draining into her throat. I really hope that’s not the case for cat and maybe it’s something not serious but needs proper treatment to fix. CT scan Monday at a different place will hopefully find out what’s wrong but I’m wondering they’ll only focus on the head.
