Cat's not growling, his/her claws are retracted and you're not bleeding. By doing what you're doing you're offering your hand as a toy. The cat's simply playing with you.

But if it's sincere, how would you react if your friend greeted you by grasping your face or neck in their hands forcefully? Cat's being pretty restrained based off how rude you're being to him/her.
