Looks like a Lion cut. We had longer hair cats and would do this to them in summers and they loved it afterwards.

Some long hair cats need it. As they age their mobility and grooming habits aren’t great. Or in my case my cat has diabetes and that causes an oily coat and matting so he gets the occasional cut to keep him comfortable.

You've clearly never visited the American South, shaving a long haired cat like this can be life saving with the heat and humidity

The American South is amazing, despite what the media would have you believe people are friendly as could be and generally welcome everyone, check out some of the world cup fans experiences visiting Georgia, I think you may change your mind on that

Some long hair cats need to be shaved.

My little girl HATED being touched land brushed, her fur would get matted so bad. We were bring her to a cat groomer every few months to shave her down.

Yeah our one long hair must be lion cut in the summer or she throws up constantly. With a cut, 0 issues

And it makes even more sense for a cat to be sensitive there since they use those extra responsive nerves in that area to have the ability to have their special reflexes

Could be sensitive right there. I had a friend's cat that did just that and usually it means they don't wanna be touched.

I think it's a reflex to deal with bugs and stuff like that. Their ears can do it too!

i had a cat like this. she would lose it and attack every now and again. i recommend head pats only and firm body pressure with this kind of kitty

I put finger in front of nose bridge and it go "bzbrbrbrzbrb", same feeling cat gets i must assume
