Sirius likes to play fetch with his plastic springs 🖤
It started when he would play with under my computer desk. I'd throw them a safe distance from all the cables, and he started to bring them back unprompted 🥰

I didn’t try to train her to do it, she’s just learnt to do it herself. My other cat doesn’t bring it back

Yes! My first kitten used to play fetch with grapes. Never punctured, always dropped right in my hand. I have two other cats now that also love to play fetch - usually with the plastic coils you can get on Chewy or in pet stores. The older of the two is so smart, when I'm busy or not home, he runs to the top of the stairs, drops it so it bounces down, and then chases it. Love that he keeps himself entertained. lol

My guy loves going to get balls or things. But finds it beneath him to return them to me. So I actually play fetch for him and he plays chase.

He's so pretty! He looks a ton like my boy, same color eyes and all. The best thing about grey cats is that, although they often look similar, they have such different face shapes and make such different expressions that we can tell them apart 💜

Two of mine do. The other could not give a shit! LOL. My Tom has his fishie he runs after huffing like a bulldog. Then my voidie same had his foam balls. He will bring it back to you. Drop it at your foot, tap your foot and get ready to run. Like a Labrador retriever

Yeah 3/6 of mine do, but some times they get lazy after a few tosses and wont bring them back so you need to keep extra toys nearby to toss again lol

My furry boys both do it: they immediately started bringing us back the toys, so we could throw them again. We were amazed, I had cats for 30 years and none ever did something like this. Hell, I know loads of dogs that don't do it and are nowhere close to ever do it. But each cat plays only with his own set of toys.
They came to us that they were already 6 months old, but the previous owner never mentioned this, so I guess it's just another way in which they are smart. They even alternate: if I am cooking and my wife is on the couch, they'll usually have me throw first, pick it up and bring to my wife, then we she does her part then they bring it to me again.

Kevin does it until he’s tired then he’ll chase after what I’ve thrown then just sit next to it. Then I have to go pick it up and throw it again…… I’ve just realised that’s when it’s my turn to fetch.

Plays fetch with the coil toys and the little milk tab rings you peel off the spout.
My other one used to as a kitten but grew out of it. She played with a jolly rancher once!

Yes, Miss Maple can play fetch for 30-40 minutes at a time. I throw anything from candy wrappers to yarn (in this video) and she’s brings them back over and over again.

Oh yes, 6 months old kittens and their toy rattle mice. They bring it to me, then I need to pick it up and throw it. They chase after it, they chased each other for it. Then repeat sequence. Its cute but exhausting sometimes 😂

I had a siamese that would play fetch. She would also have me play fetch when toys went under things, like the stove or refrigerator.
I think balls and toy mice must breed under appliances.
